I can't speak for everyone, obviously, and there's no accounting for taste. My fanship of Ozzy started when I was in high school in the late 1990's, and was not popular among my peers even after Ozzmosis had been released just a few years prior and still held some awesome songs. Ozzy's music provides a break from the mundane and the norm in mainstream music, some fresh life that Ozzy feels the need to inject every few years just to keep the lifeblood flowing. He may not ever be understood or widely accepted by everyone, but then again not many of the favorite bands of those people have gone platinum on EVERY SINGLE ALBUM THEY EVER PRODUCED. To my knowlege, Ozzy has. I could be mistaken, but I don't think I am.
