I'm a fan (and you should be too) because...
Out of all the musicians going, there has NEVER been another that has such a simple way with words, never leading you from the point of what he wants you to hear. Unlike plaenty of other groups/bands, or individuals Ozzy has ALWAYS has his voice ringing loud and clear through his songs, dispite the fact that he has had the luck and oppertunity to work with 4 amazing lead guitarists. All of whom can be heard as well with their own spots in the songs, never trying to fight each other they instead compliment each other. The only era I have heard or thought of such was the later years with Black Sabbath.
Randy, Jake, and Zakk have never over stepped that line, making them (Randy and Zakk in particular) as two of my votes for the greatest guitarists to live.
I like how Ozzy has stepped up his last 2 ablums in particular and gotten harder and edgeier with letting Zakk go so to speak with his riffs. I truely hope he continues the trend with his new and upcomming album, while also continuing to has lyrics that make sense, and listeners can appreciate meaning to the song as also delivering a personal message.
I can also say that I still recall in 1987 hearing Crazy Train for the first time (having parents that didn't listen to heavy metal/rock) I got a late start, however that never stopped me from finally getting a listen, and falling in love with one of the most recognised songs from the 80's.
I was hooked as soon as I heard the riffs, let alone the vocals.
From that point on I have and will always be an Ozzy fan for life.
