Actually Gimpnoid and Ace002, the interview with Ozzy in the Australian TV special 'A Coffee with Ozzy' was filmed in Hoddle Street Collingwood (an inner suburb of Melbourne, Australia). I was Ozzy's Record Company representative in Melbourne (at Sony Music Entertainment) at the time and arranged to get Ozzy to appear in the TV special which was actually shot on 16mm film as I recall it. (I also appear as a barfly in the background during the TV special).
The interview was conducted by legendary 'Album Show' radio show personality Billy Pinnell (http://twitter.com/TheAlbumShow) who had a very popular show on 3MMM-FM in Melbourne at the time. The producers / filmmakers of 'A Coffee with Ozzy' we're back then the team that created the The D Generation comedy show on Australian TV and later went on to become the film and TV company 'Working Dog' (http://www.imdb.com/company/co0089288/) who made Australian film classic like 'The Dish' and 'The Castle'.
A Coffee with Ozzy was in fact a TV pilot program that the team (at the future 'Working Dog') hoped to do a series on of other notable music legends in the similar down to earth unpretentious, organic, highly respected and deeply informed style that Billy is famous for.
The interview was filmed during a promo tour that Ozzy was on (accompanied by Sharon) in Australia to promote the 'No More Tears' album sometime between 1991 and 1992. They spent roughly a week in Melbourne with me at the time.
The TV series didn't come about, but the film stock was safely kept on ice for several years. Then during the noughties when the Osbourne's Reality TV show hit the airwaves, the Working Dog team repackaged the interview as a one off special and sold it to the 10 network in Australia which ran the special straight after the Osbourne's reality TV show one evening.
I remember coming home that night a receiving about a dozen phone calls from friends and family that night saying 'Simon, your on TV right now". I switched on the set and there it was 'A Coffee With Ozzy" finally being seen by fans some 10ish years later. It was quite a welcome surprise because I remember how much work that Billy and Rob, Santo and the rest of the Working Dog put in at the time. It would have been a shame for it not to see the light of day.
I'm still in contact with Billy these days, so I must ask him if there is any chance of the show appearing on DVD or the web sometime. I will write back if there is anything to report on this matter.
