New Album Name "Soul Sucka" Love/Hate??
As much as i love Ozz and respect his choices... who else really hates the album name? Just thought i'd put that out there, cos we're all thinking it....
I'm sure the actual musical content will be awesome... but come on!! Soul Sucka??!! For the love of god it's even spelt with an "a"!!! Come on Ozz... what happened to "Ozzmosis/Diary of a Madman?" Something cool and dignified like that...
No-one yell at me please, it's obvious that i'm not the only one that thinks this. But this guy is extreme and sucks balls.
http://www.metalsucks.net/2009/12/18/you-go-to-hell-ozzy-osbourne-you-go-to-hell-and-you-die/
However, this is irrelevant because despite whatever the hell he decides to call it, the new album will be worth waiting for and excellent because it is Ozz, and i can't WAIT till it's released! june, that's half a year away...! sigh.

I don't care if it was called 'My underpants are too small' - It was Ozzy who named it and that is what matters! Plus Soul Sucka isn't that bad!

was wondering where do
we vote
was wondering where do
we vote
where do we vote ? "sickty one ....here we go again...." great album name
That name sucks big f**ken time!!! I hope the fans will come up with something really cool...my choice would be(for now) 'Dig Me Down' (because there will be a song with that name on the album (it's morning and creativity is kinda low...)
Instead of screwing around, lets come up with some cool names!
Just read the article. He confirms Ozzfest, which is a good thing.
Sounds like something Soulja Boy would name his son. But he isn't using the name anymore.
"Ozzy Osbourne may not be planning a Black Sabbath reunion, but he is in the final stages of recording his next solo album. The disc was originally titled Soul Sucka, but Ozzy recently changed his mind about that. “When we put that on the Internet none of my fan base liked the title,” says Osbourne. “They were like, ‘I can’t imagine me walking around the f***ing house with the words ‘Soul Sucka’ on my T-shirt.’ So I was like, ‘f*** it. I’ve got to come up with something else!’ ” The now untitled set is due out in July, the same month Osbourne says that Ozzfest will return after a one-year break. “After Ozzfest I’m doing the most extensive tour of my life,” he says. “It’ll be something like, 3,025 dates.”

It could well be just a working title!
Ozzy was going to call his book many years ago "How Slack was my haddock". As we know, he eventually wrote HIS book and just called it "I am Ozzy". It is amassing how things mellow over the years!

WHO CARES WHAT THE HELL THE ALBUM IS CALLED, OZZ IS THE f***IN MAN! THAT CD'S GONA KICK ASS, CANT WAIT TILL JUNE
So OZME, what about the ACTUAL NAME (and not all the trashing that has been going on) makes you say:
4 never has the oz man tried to sound like any thing but ozzy.
Just curious?
the name makes me sick 4 never has the oz man tried to sound like any thing but ozzy. but sit back and wait to taste is the next move
I hate the name... but true love accepts everything
Actually i have to agree with darkbladeus,
if Ozzy wants that to be the name i think he'll have his reasons.
and come on real ozzy fans doesn't complain about any f**king albumname
WE ARE JUST WAITING FOR NEW ROCKING,HEADBANGING & BRAINSMASHING METALSONGS
LIKE ALMIGHTY DOLLAR & I DON'T WANNA STOP!!!!
is there an release date posted??
Well my humble opinion is if this indeed is the name of the up coming album, well then it completely pipes ass!
Sorry but how can I feel good about this when the title of the album sounds like Ozzy is getting his thug on, wtf???
But as always I will let the music determine how I feel, or if I will buy the album or not. But in all honesty I didn't buy black rain, and I am not holding my breath that I will run right out and buy this one. Breaks my old metal heart to say this, but these later years have just not been with the same Ozzy I grew to love and know back in the day.
Personally I just wish he would stop & leave the music alone before he tarnishes his legacy any further, that's just my 2 cents, time will tell who is wrong & who is right here......
Because the music never lies!.

Ozzy:"I have no regrets except that I wasn't up to keep Randy (Rhoads) from getting on that plane." (Ozzy Osbourne, Guitar World Issue 37, 2000)
I agree that it's a strange titel for a rock album. From the first moment on I thought it's a name for a Rap album but in the end I don't care about the title but the songs.
I won't go to metalasucks.net to get pissed off with their crap. Why would I? Ozzy doesn't care about critics. Why would I let myself be forced to read all the bs that's in the internet about him?
Apart from that I wouldn't be suprised if Ozzy would change the name of the album in the last minute. We'll see!
Anyway, I can't wait.
I'm wating for it!!!
madozzyfan, the angst is on Metalsucks.net with Axl Rosenburg and his chronies. =o* this, on the other hand, is a discussion, between Ozzy fans. I was disagreeing with the two of you. which is another perspective on how the title strikes someone.
I kind of like the name personally.
Of course he can call it whatever he wants, doesn't mean we have to like it. The name probably stems from whoever actually wrote the title track. And the name of an album is mostly about marketing and IMO its not a smart move. I wouldn't care if there's a track named Soul Sucka but give the album a different name. I see the name as $haron's idea to appeal to "fans" less familiar with Ozzy/the metal scene. Wiggers who maybe enjoy mocking Ozzy on The Osbournes hears "Ozzy's got a new album comming out Soul Sucka" are more likely to buy that than Metallica's Death Magnet. If the album is good, no harm no foul, but if its a stinker I'd rather Ozzy stink on an album called Let It Die, anything but something I'd expect from 50cent

Tony Iommi = God, his arch angels are Ozzy Osbourne, Dave Walker, Ronnie James Dio, Ian Gillan, Dave Donato, Glenn Hughes, Ray Gillen, Tony Martin, and Bill Ward (bassically everyone who sang on a song labeled Black Sabbath)
Alright, calm down! Where's the hostility? We sure as hell respect him and it's obvious how long he's been awesome, but for all our devotion we're allowed to say we dislike one thing, gee... opinions and all that.
Personally i recon this topic should close and we should get back to the important stuff... being happy ozznoids anticipating new songs!!! Argghhh it's exciting!!

i have no agreement with either of you. Ozzy is 61 years old...and has been entertaining the world since 1968 (42 years). 11 Sabbath era and 21 solo albums have gone either gold, single, double, triple or quadruple platinum. Therefore, I say if Ozzy wants the title of his album to be Soul Sucka, then the world should have more respect for him and his right as King of Hard Rock and Prince of Darkness to call his album what the hell ever he wants. Honestly, I just don't get what the big problem is. I think it's kind of cool - it sounds like a vampirish kind of name to me, and it's got a deeper meaning then just a blood sucka would. I think people get way too opinionated and hostile towards the man personally. Damn.
Partial agreement ozjohn... hurts the soul, aye...

I'm gonna wait till I hear the songs but the title is god aweful it might be listed as something completely different (maybe Ozzy Vol. 10) in my ITunes. But on the off-chance that the songs truly SUCK I won't hesitate to claim Ozzy's downfall. I enjoy Black Rain even if its vastly different than all his other stuff but the name Soul Sucka hurts MY SOUL.

Holy $hit blade, just took a look at that metalsux article again, you owned those ignorant fuktards! on behalf of all the crew at ozzy.com, thanks! glad i let you have that link....lol. I hate people who think they know about Ozzy and confidently spout their bull$hit allover the web. Makes me mad...

i know, that guy off metalsux is such a douchebag ay! i included that article to show the extreme side of the SSucka haters, but it's just plain rude! i don't have such a problem with it that i'd abuse the Ozz... geez..
I agree blade about waiting for context for the name, too true, cos Black Rain had a definate relevance to the anti war/hate theme. It's just the "SSucka" on it's own that makes me wince, but never mind my grouchyness, bring on the album!!!

mof, i agree it's unusual, but i guess i see it by degree - worse than a blood sucker, in that it's a soul sucker. but the "a" - yea, i can see people getting tripped up on that. if that's what he feels is the name for his next album then i would imagine it will fit when we see it in context. Technical Ecstasy wasn't exactly the top of my poll for names, nor are many album names I could discuss ad nauseum. Who knows why it's what fits for him...but apparently it does. Unlike some who would supercede any thoughts with blind devotion that borders on the comical, or criticism which borders on the rabid, i say i hear ya, and let's stay tuned.
oh, and by the way? I visited that article and laid a few stripes from my blades down. hopefully others from this site will join in and get those EMO douche bags led by the king of retards Axl Rosenberg (have you seen his pics on Myspace??? hilarious, how CAN you take him or what he says to mean JACK $HIT?) back in their proper places.
i dont care who likes the name or not ,,im for anything ozzy related
