I just had to write to tell this story this has occured within the last month.

My son has been in a coma since Dec 20, he would open his eyes but never focused on anything or anyone, He is in the ICU in Myrtle Beach, SC.

The nurse told me to turn the TV on sometimes a familiar sound would stimulate the mind and has been know to be helpful to patients. I was surfing the channels when I came on the movie School of Rock. I left it on that, I knew my son would like this. But what was so astounding was when the star of the movie played just a few bars of (I believe it was Crazy Train) my son's eyes opened, and for the first time he was focused on the tv, My daughter and I called his name and he turned his head and really looked at us for the first time. and he was actually focused on us. and responded to verbal commands. He has been up and down since then. Good days followed by bad days, He is still in the ICU and I pray he will recover. But what is so incredable about this whole thing is just that morning the Dr told us that his chance of recovery was very poor and for us to expect the worse, and then Ozzie brought him out of the coma that evening. All this happened on the 11th of Jan it is now the 15th. so far so good.
