“I had to come to a decision – do I want to kill myself with drugs and alcohol?” he says.
The answer was ‘no’, he confirms.
Cigarettes were the first to go, followed by the booze.
“In the old days, whenever I stopped boozing, I always used to think about the good times I was missing,” he writes in I Am Ozzy. “ Now all I think about is how the good times always turned bad.
“I couldn’t tell you how much a pint of beer costs now, and I don’t want to know. Which is amazing, considering how much my life used to revolve around the pub. I just ain’t interested any more.”
The drugs were the last things to go and apart from medicines prescribed for Ozzy’s depression and tremors, caused by a rare condition inherited from his parents, he’s now a narcotics free zone. Which is pretty amazing considering how many drugs and how much alcohol he has consumed over the years.

If you wikapedia "Monsters of Rock" it suggests that Dio was on the same bill as Ozzy once!

I personally think that Ozzy took it badly when Tony organised the other guys to kick out Ozzy from Sabbath, BUT time is a healer (I think?). Yes he had a dwarf on stage called Ronnie, but it did not last Ozzy was man enough to stop the mickey taking!

I can see Dio's point about appearing on the Ozz Fest with Sabbath, I guess that he would (he admits it) was uncomfortable at the idea!

Seen Dio support Alice Cooper the other year and was as good live as his LP's. Good luck to them all!

little punks like OjZoZhYn12.03.48 have nothing better to do with their time then go onto a major stars fan site and rock magazine online articles and harass, show the world their immaturity. it's pretty sad. it's not like it is for everyone else, going to their site of musical preference, Dio and Iommi. that's because there's definitely something wrong upstairs. Ozzy doesn't wish Iommi or Dio badly. He speaks highly of Iommi in his book. very misplaced and a marginal fan if you ask me. the kind that ends up going over the line like Lennons' fan did. to me he has the potential of being a real creeper.
