OZZY’s Books - Garry Johnson (1985) vs. Chris Ay...

The new book is awesome. I was expecting to read a lot stuff that I already knew but it was the total opposite which made it hard to put down.

What a lot of people don’t know is that 2010 was the 25th anniversary of the first book which was released in 1985. Not sure how I could afford it at the time ($10.95 Cdn) but I managed to get a copy somehow...I probably stole it for all I know.

Anyhow, I rarely show this book to anyone, but I do on special occasions, and when friends or relatives are done looking at the pictures and stuff, I tell them to read P.78 and you can see the disbelief in peoples’ eyes. It is only fitting that Randy’s picture is on the next page.

If you ever read this personally, I want you to know that:

You’re the f***in’ Greatest!

I got hooked listening to your music when I moved from Montreal to Ottawa when I was 12 yrs old. I’m now 42. To this day, I still crank it up as loud as I can in my car and people sometimes look at me like I’m f***in’ crazy but I don’t care.

My life was empty forever on a down, Until you took me, showed me around...

Let’s not forget about “You Can’t Kill Rock ‘N Roll”. The sound that comes out of Randy’s guitar about two minutes into the song is absolutely unreal. I wish he was still around but it wasn’t meant to be for some reason.

***God bless you Ozzy, your entire family and Delores***

Happy 30th Anniversary on two of the greatest albums of all time!

Hi Asylum,

This book wasn’t co-written by Ozzy but it charts the progress from the early days of Sabbath to his triumphant rejuvenation with his own band and his new career as a solo artist. Packed with rare pictures and published by Proteus Books.

Ozzy wrote a book in 1985?
