guitar hero 3

just watched a vid on ign.com about gh 3. the boss battle with SLASH and the guy said at the very end that there would be more boss battles. i think ZAKK should be one since he let FIRE IT UP on the gh one and he was behind it from the start. so what guitar gods should you battle(living or dead)?

neil should be in there also, maybe with hey, hey, my, my(into the black)/(out of the blue) or keep on rockin in the free world?

I always like playing his song Lay Lady Lay to people who tend to dislike his vocal style. You should check out a preview if you can find it on ITunes or something, definatley the album version, not live he does weird things live. It is a COMPLETLEY different voice. He changes practically on every album, some changes are more subtle but they are there. Lay Lady Lay is indeed a rare gem among the album (Nashville Skyline btw) only thing comparable to that that I've heard is a cover of Blue Moon he did on a very very very very stange album that he did called Self Portrait.

But see if you can find the studio version of Lay Lady Lay and give it a listen.

Hey Twiggy there was a whole lot of people that also once wore disco forever t-shirts, but where are they now? In comparison to the guys like Sabbath, & Metallica, what is so pioneering about emo hon, why should I be a fan of this music? I am serious, I want to understand??

This is the thing that concerns me, why is it so important for you to get validation from all of us, Twiggy you sometimes come off like a goofy ass drug addict, wanting all of our approval so it will condone your listening to this emo crap, why is it so important for those of us here at the forum to give you our approval???? I fail to get this?????

My advise Twiggy is walk your own walk, who knows maybe you are right and we here are all wrong, but lets let time tell us that truth or not, ok???? I understand that sometimes you may seem like an outsider, I know I did all those years ago when I was listening to Slayer, & Metallica, but I adhered to my convictions that this music was more than just another rock & roll thing, & in time I was vindicated, do you see my point? Just be your own person, & don't be so consumed by what others think, because sometimes people they can be dead wrong.

I think your very nice an all, but I have to have outlawtorn's back on this, you need to really try and refrain from not shoving this emo thing up everyones noses, especially a thread that has nothing to do with it, it would be like me insisting on talking about mopar cars constantly within your emo thread, it has no place, or real merit. Just remember you have to exercise giving respect long before you can ever be fortunate enough to acquire it from others, just a friendly suggestion hon.. Think on it??????????????

Peace

"Being sober on a bus is, like, totally different than being drunk on a bus." - Ozzy Osbourne

I also heard some of I think whats called Demonic, what I heard wasn't bad, but I never bought it. And yes is the answer to exodus, I was a huge fan! I like a salad, a nice salad, baked potato, sour cream & chives! lol. Hell ya can't forget the good old toxic waltz my friend!

I hear ya on old school, myself I love some of the hardcore bands that are around these days, but very few live up to my expectations, I also have a fond memory of the good old days of thrash metal, Anthrax, Overkill, Sacred Reich, I could go on, & on...

As for kreator I never really heard much of, for whatever reason they were not a big deal here in my local area, I remember hearing about them, but to be honest I don't think I ever got to really check them out. I may do that sometime here soon just out of curiosity. Thanks for the reminder...........

Peace bro

i don't care where you've told me to stay OUTLAWTORN!!!! and i'm not trying to get anyone's approval on anything. if the outlaw dude would stop irritating me about it, i wouldn't be pestering you people about it!!! all i want is to be accepted and then we can all go on knowing that i'm emo and it doesn't matter to you people at all. joaniegirl2oo2 accepts me. she undestands me. WHY CAN'T YOU???????? you don't have to fully understand me but you can at least accept me!!!! and i WILL ABSOLUTLY NOT leave. i don't care what you do, i can take a lot of crap. my motto (a quote by the frontman of my chemical romance, gerard way) : "Never take anyone's sh*t and don't let them take you alive...." i know you most likely don't care about anyhting i say at all, but we all have our opinions on stuff like this and i'd appreciate it if you kept yours to yourself. my friends understand me. my boyfriend understands me. (and robert, i love you a lot if you ever happen to read this.)......

Thanks for the tip bro on lay lady lay.

I always go back and give artists a chance to win me over, I realize your taste changes as you grow up in years, not just physically, but emotionally. An as for lay lady lay, have you ever heard Ministry's version of it off of the Filth Pig disc? Not to shabby, a little strange as you can imagine, you may want to check it out of you have never heard that version before??

was going to get it on the wii but not now check this out
Additionally there are console exclusive hidden characters. The first two mentioned will appear in the Wii and PlayStation 2 versions, while the two others will appear in the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions,
Metalhead - A robot guitarist that was built from scrap parts from a Russian self-guided warhead
Elroy Budvis - A character who is extremely reminiscent of a bulkier version of rock and roll legend Elvis Presley
the God of Rock - A guitarist that is very reminiscent of ancient Greek gods, principally Zeus
Grim Ripper, the rock modification of the Grim Reaper, returning from the two first Guitar Hero games.
i hope my PS3 can handle all of this rockin out! and WTF w/ MetallicA s ONE being the very last song?

Oh hell outlaw I love Neil Young, my old man filled my ears with his music from the time I was a wee little lad, lol. I have very fond memories of my pop listening to ole Young, lights dimmed, incense in the air, to mask the smell of some other aromatic materials that also lingered in the air I suspect??? lol

Ya I love Neil, he was the s***, & still is given it hell based on when I last seen him….

One of my fav young tunes is "Needle And The Damage Done". What’s yours bro?

its not that we are being mean to twig, just emo. none of us gives a sh#@ about emo. we all think its a joke. i wasn't around when disco controlled the world, but to me that is what emo is doing. its bad enough that radio SUCKS, but to hear mcr,p!atd, and all of that other s*** i think that is whats putting ROCK behind h-h and pop music. i mean damn where are the awesome bands of yesterday. where is the next doors, black sabbath, LZ, and metallica? music that changed how people thought? we can all bet its not an emo band!

Four 'Guitar Hero' Games In '08?
Posted by sjohnson - Friday, January 04, 2008 10:33 AM
Lock up your mom: According to a rumor destined to be published in the next issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly magazine (according to the Neogaf forum), there may be four Guitar Hero games in the works for 2008.

Guitar Hero 4, Guitar Hero Aerosmith, and 2 others may be on the way.

If this turns out to be true. it leads to speculation that downloadable content might no longer be the Guitar Hero game plan.

ok im not buyin Aerosmith! but heres to MAYBE(if we're lucky) Hells Bells, Stairway to Heaven, Crazy Train w/ Randy as a guitar battle(somehow) and Stillborn w/ Zakk also as a battle.

Listen to Ozz's interview from 1988 on the 2nd disc of the Ozzman Cometh

"it just goes to show that the f***in Rock N Roll is one big wheel, it goes around and around and around"

If you think emo, rap, hip hop is all going to last in the mainstream you are delerious. I have begun to see little signs that signal the end of current trends. All that has to be done is for a few people to see that signal and make a move.

But I say enough of the s*** of today. Give me some talent, singing, and some guitar solos for a new sound, a new attitude. and a new era. But before that we need a legend, an icon, and a hero to lead us to tomorrow.

--
Tony Iommi = God, his arch angels are Ozzy Osbourne, Dave Walker, Ronnie James Dio, Ian Gillan, Dave Donato, Glenn Hughes, Ray Gillen, Tony Martin, and Bill Ward (bassically everyone who sang on a song labeled Black Sabbath)

OK Twiggy I accept you, and I'm sure others do, or atleast are willing to tolerate you as Mr Garison said it "you tolerate a crying baby on a plane." (irony ;) eh?) But if you are preaching acceptance and make it your goal you are in for a hard hit.

If you want to discuss emo and emo related topics create one, you've already done that once. What you are doing here is what people generally call trolling or hijacking the thread by deviating it from its intended topic. And it is very frustrating to people, especially the creator of the thread.

I personally think there isn't much to this thread but let it be discussed or die upon its own accord, and you should absolutley contribute (in a positive manner please) to it.
