hmmph. i do. they were okay in their day. kind of in the genre of the Moody Blues. have i ever told you about the time i went to see ... oh wait, i don't think i have. weeeehhhhhhllllll, pull upa chair and sitta while.

it was back in the early days, in my 20's, so it would be in the 80's sometime, around 85 or 87 i think. my girlfriend Kathy and i worked for a local department store, in fashions and housewares. we found out they were coming to the Arizona State Fair as one of the headlining bands. we both just about shat our pants. so, bottom line is, we bought tickets. i gave her my usual spiel, making sure she understood VERY CLEARLY my proviso "this is open seating girlfriend, follow my hair, cuz i'm heading straight for the front and center. this is like musical chairs on steroids, and i have NO shame!" we got about 5 rows back, center stage. it filled up THAT fast.

OMFG. so many of their songs from the day had me weeping my frigging eyes out. it was beautiful. oh yea, Kathy found me about two minutes later, and was cracking up hysterically, but ever so thankful. she was this super tall, willowy girl with hair no s*** down past her knees. she wasn't as shameless as me, much more dignified. but had the imp in her too. i am the opposite, small, petite, with the devil straight up in me dimples winking out all the time. we had SUCH a good time. we both LOVED it!
