why i just have you in the brackets b'cause ...why b'cause you seemed to get obsessed with the use of the words in my sentences in a different post, so i thought i'd draw your attention to that one - but DON'T ASK ME (which post) - I DON'T KNOW. and yea, i catch your slang from time to time...but let it fly over my head. doesn't make much sense to me lol.

Yeah your'e right f_darkbladeus, its too good an opportunity to miss, I'd be kicking myself for years to come.
Thats a right pain in the arse though, only wristbands for the first 300, I'll probably drive the 4hrs over to Birmingham to find myself 301st in line and miss out on meeting Ozzy, man I'd be pissed off, I'd better get there early.

No Rest For The Wicked
of COURSE it will be worth it Fozzy. Is being THIS close worth it even if it's just for a few seconds? ...umm...yea, I totally believe it is. he's an amazing man, and it's a blessing he's been around in our lifetime. you're lucky. or you will be if you get one of the 300 wrist bands they limited the signings to. so i'd plan to camp out early to get your place in line. you know?
i don't know if this working woman will make it out to Hollywood, it's awfully expensive for me. so keep me ever so close with you when you have that opportunity, as well as the other fans here who can't make it either for similar reasons.
(Lets hope Sharon doesn't butt in - even so kindly - posing for pictures, interrupting, and speaking for him instead of letting the man have his own words and finish his own sentences...something many see as the ultimate insult to a great man whose words they want to hear)
Well I'll be at the Birmingham book signing on 0ctober 8th.
Its about a 4 hr drive from where I live and I'd like to think its gonna be worth it, but I'm not sure.
I just hope I can get some other memorabillia signed and maybe a photo with him, but I reckon it'll be the signing of his book and nothing else.

No Rest For The Wicked
yes...well. i guess i had the need to air a few attitudes the other day. i guess Sharons excess, posturing as royalty with her surreal post-helium-huffing sounding Minnie Mouse voice get on my fricking nerves big time. families are losing everything all over this world. it would be amazing to see Ozzy and his wife down helping out the children of families who've lost everything. i have so much empathy for those hit hard, the working man.
anyways, i am happy that Ozzy is finally releasing the autobiography, and i would DIE for the opportunity to say hi to him (and probably not much more because in line who would allow that kind of time without screaming to hurry the fuc# up LOL).
and i hear you LD. I would LOVE the chance to talk to him in a non-superficial way. to spend time, hell, i'd be happy to even watch him from across the room you know? to be around his magic would be awesome. i am very jealous of the rich and famous of Hollywood who probably could give a rats a$$ about Ozzy Osbourne - but - they get to mingle in crowds he is a part of. that is a major tragedy in my book. some of us would rub perfumed oils into his feet for goodness sake THAT is how much we love the man...but in our lifetimes, pshaw. pffft. annnnh. all we get is our pictures of him to talk to every day (heh heh)...

Will do the same way, Lennonsdaughter...If only had He a signing day in Moscow I would be there cold a week before it...

The darkest

some good points her f_darkbladeus. I prefer to pay my rent as well.
I do have signed stuff from Ozzy but its sitting in the shelf and thats it. I would prefer to have a long chat with Oz but this will never happen. That for I do the obvious thing and order the book from amazon.uk and thats it.
Here are some excerpts:
http://entertainment.timesonline.co.uk/tol/arts_and_entertainment/music/...
I imagine you're S.O.L. if you're not in England, and when it comes stateside, you'll be S.O.L. if you're not in L.A. See, you can live in either of those places and take a 20 minute drive to see Ozzy - even a two hour drive if you were in another city - no problem. But when you live across the country, well, then you have to say "Hmmm. do i buy airline tickets (at $380-$550 a pop) and rent a car (another $100) to get my book signed? or do I rent a car to take across state lines (at $100 plus $1 a mile) and get my book signed?" or, better question, "do I pay my bills this month in this s***ty economy we have?"
not very many working men can afford to live in L.A. or London - unless they're homeless of course, or living on the welfare CA is notorious for. none during these times can afford the travel. but I'm sure Ozzy's daughters 'best friend' Paris (and other children of the privelaged) will have an autographed copy, yes?
reminds me of the picture you have LD where Sharon is dressed in a gown in her pursuit of being royalty or something - i mean - get freaking real. most people are selling their vehicles, pawning everything they own, losing their homes, and she's romping around like Sharon Fairy Princess in her luxury and pomp. talk about being completely out of touch with what is happening in the common mans life.
the $40 to go to see Ozzy (or Ozzfest) is a hell of a lot bigger investment for the working man to give up from their lot then the $2000 the rich spend for a one-shot to stand onstage with Ozzy.
how many working men would DIE for the chance to stand backstage (with NO snots present who can drop $10,000 for the privelage to see all acts that way, or the $2K to see Ozzy like it's nothing)?
I am sure that Ozzy is famous not because of the rich, but because of the common man buying his tickets and his albums. kind of interesting conundrum.
Ozzy should be doing a signing in a colosseum where fans live, not the rich. and since he has tons of dough, make that something he does FOR THEM instead of expecting any of the poor to be able to afford to travel to his rich home ground.
