Mainly because every person who doesn't know anything about him always says, "All he does is bite the heads off of bats and you can't even understand him made he talks! hahaha lololollolllol!!!!!!111ONE"

And that gets annoying for us die-hard fans because every time I hear it, I have to explain the true story and stuff. It just gets old.

He is not God. He is a rock god.

of course,hes not god,but hes a man that we all love for his songs and his amazing voice.but we also love to hate him cause of the bad and drugs and and and...but for me,hes my god!and for anyone who listens to him!hes the god everyone imagines to have...

Ok first off let’s get this clear, are you asking all of us if Ozzy fans hero worship him, do they place him on a mantle that is sometimes on the same level as being god like. Well the obvious answer is yes some do, and then others like my self simply have a never-ending amount of respect and admiration for the man and what he has done so many times for us musically, solo as well as with his days in Sabbath, Ozzy has reached icon status, and that can not be denied!

Do some go too far? Perhaps, but who am I to say what’s a comfortable level for someone else. Obviously it can get way out of hand sometimes, for example with Lennon, or in Dimebag’s case, its safe to say those individuals took their infatuation way to f***in far! But as for the majority of us it’s just a gesture of love and respect when we use the whole Ozzy is God slogan, nothing more, nothing less.

As for what we as fans get from his music, I suppose it may be different from fan to fan, what they get from it that is. As for me I identified with him by knowing that Ozzy grew up in Aston England, a very industrialized area, as I also grew up in a heavily industrialized area. My father was a pipe fitter, and as Ozzy's father mine also toiled his life away inside a dirty ass factory. So when Ozzy sang I heard all that coming out of him, and it just spoke to me on a personal level, the whole not fitting in, always the black sheep, simply wanting out, wanting so much more! That’s what appealed to me, oh and lets not forget the anger, Ozzy was pissed the f*** off back in the good ole days, and it showed god damn it! And for me it was a very definitive & bonding moment, just as he released all his heavy woes through his music, so was I !!!

So that’s the basic analysis of it all buddy, its not like its trigonometry????

When it comes to heavy music you either feel the power of it all or you don’t, and if you don’t understand any of it by now, then chances are you never ever will! So I am going to go out on a limb here and say that I may very well be wasting my time here with all of this! Because if your not enough of an Ozzy fan to know all of this already, then perhaps you never will understand the attraction, the lore, the mysticism that is and always will be simply known as Ozzy f***in Osbourne!

Here is just a little suggestion bro. I feel the answer lies deep within all of his music, instead of asking why don’t you just try really listening to it for a change !!!!

No...Ozzy Is not a god of course ... :) But Hi is the Great person...Whit a....Not very Great Reputation In people, that don't know much about him. There is such feature of people...Thy better remember BAD thing... and easily forgot GOOD.....Or maybe, they Don't Want To SEE and HEAR good things... :) And, Ozzy, is One of those, who...People LOVE to HATE :) And that is true... Lots And LOTS of people know That he was an alcoholic, and everybody knows that story about a dove, or a Bat.... But who knows, about that great side Of His?? Just Us, His Fans. So, If Others, like To talk bad things about Man, who is REALLY a GREAT person.... Why We Have To to keep silence? Well, personaly for me,Ozzy, ir One of My heros... his true fans support him so much because when we need to hear the lyrics that make sense and add perspective..he has them. his voice is amazing just hearing him is an escape in itself! hes so honest and modest, hes just a regular guy but he means so much more to his fans. his music has just always been there for me. ;]
