Brad in Iraq
We had an acoustic crowd control device called a LRAD which we used in Mosul, Iraq. It had an MP3 Player hookup device. What song did we use for crowd control do you ask? It was none other than "Crazy Train". However, using such an awesome song kind of backfired because all it did was make the Iraqis headbang regardless whether or not the LRAD caused damage to their ear drums or not. The LRAD we used had a maximum output of 153 dBSPL measured at 1 Meter of distance while emitting sound at 30 Degree Beam at 2.5 kHZ What a gem the US Army has as a deterrent.
