With In the Moment, they were a sold band with a lead singer that could carry interesting notes with screams and moans. Problem is the technology they employ doesn't really carry with such a large venue and enable one to really clearly hear what was being said or every riff being played. Its the usual of needing big money to create clear and concise sound. They had some interesting pieces but not really much of a show. Lets put it this way its hard to open for Ozzie and Zombie when 90% of the crowd doesn't know who you are
Zombie was the highlight of the show in my mind. just put on a entertaining show and hit every note perfectly. He walked around the audience and got everyone really involved. Played his trademark horrorshow flicks on the screen as well as crazy ghouls and ghost cartoons. Had flames shooting up and cheerleaders waiving poms. There was a goulish feel to the overall set with a huge troll like head that changed colors under the blacklighting. With more human than human he a large ghoulish bald green man come out dancing, gave everyone a chuckle. A kind of throw back to the old horror films. I was really impressed overall.
Ozzie. Just his presence obviously is magnificent. Just the front runner of a movement of music and music history right before your eyes. Overall he couldn't sing worth a damn. I guess it was the sickness that took him out. Personally he appeared either on drugs, really drunk or sick. And at times just seemed like an old man up there who was on his last breathe. His voice couldn't connect the dots for his trademark songs. But Wylde and company really ripped it behind him and they were textbook for many of those songs. It was great to see this band but honestly I wouldn't pay to see one of his concerts again. I got lucky paid for the 40 nose bleed seats and because they didn't sell the up top portion of the venue got a free ticket upgrade for the lower level. I felt for the people that paid 200 dollars for seats below but oh well.
I do agree that it should've been re-scheduled. However, there was no way that any fans could have known, and at least for being sick, he did put on a very good show. Not great, hardly any of his trademark stuff, but he does know how to put on a great concert ... it's the older artists such as Ozzy, Dylan, Springsteen, Tom Petty, etc who have that unique ability; a way to engross audiences from the get go like no new artist can; if not most.
Even though I have no regrets for making the hour-long drive with a friend to the Oakland Arena, Ozzy should've re-scheduled. Kelly Clarkson did the same thing a while back with a concert here in San Jose (she re-scheduled another concert cause she felt bad that her throat was scratchy), and it went perfectly.
The show was awful. Ozzy was sick and it showed. From the first song to the last, his voice was cracking, could not hold a note and was not running around like his usual self. Ozzy should not have been on the stage that night and the gig should have been re-scheduled.
Rob Zombie was awesome. He carried the whole show and he made up for a sick Ozzy Osbourne.
In This Moment? Another typical new metal with good riffs but a singer who only screams instead of sing.
In the end, I felt ripped off. $200 + for a pair of tickets for a concert that should have been cancelled. A wasted Sunday night with no refund possible.
Anyone who attended the show and has a different view of the night...Just watch any video or listen to audio from the show before ripping my review. I guarantee you will have the same response.
The opening band was In This Moment ... I really wanted to see them (they're really great), but entered the main arena at 10 to 8, and I asked one of the Blue Coats (who I know from working at the Shoreline Amphitheatre) if ITM was there, and she said that they were on for only twenty minutes. So, I "just" missed them.
As sad as it was last night, I don't remember such a weak performence by a has been. Ozzy!!!! I think LA has gone to your head and by the way Sharon you need to be there to stop him BLODDY BEGGING the crowd and just perform like you use to. I took my best friend, my son of 24 yeas and we walked away with the same feeling ALOT OF NOISE AND A SUB PAR SHOW. KUDOS to the rest of the band because they totaly kicked it. Great Gutiar riff (SSB) impressive, the show with the water and the foam??????????????
This was my first time seeing Ozzy and Rob Zombie live. This concert kicked major ass! One of the best shows I've seen in a while. Today I have no voice from screeming and it was well worth it. Rob didn't disappoint and Ozzy was everything I expected. Great show guys, great show!!
this show totally kicked ass. Zombie rocked as usual and ozzy was ozzy. he rocked like a true veteran and closed with paranoid it was the s***. I was in the second row and it was worth every penny.

Goin to the concert? Look for me! If u see a blue walker and a guy w/a yellow shirt, that's me ... better say hi ... this is a good old-fashioned rock show; spread the love all around :)
We will rock again tomorrow night Ozzy! Hope everyone is rested for this kick ass show! Tomorrow night we rock to the great Rob and Oz! Look for the 2 girls in the pink shirts and you will find me!
does anybody know if oracle lets you bring in cameras?? or do i have to sneak it in?? anyways..im getting wasted and gonna see ozzy adn rob rip that f***ing stage up..cant f***ing wait....3 f***ing days!! and tehn i have school the next day hahaha..that should be fun
as bad as I want to see this show, I'm greatly dissapointed that they're selling assigned seats on the floor instead of GENRAL ADMISSION. I've even seen OZZY in that very facility before and it was open floor for a pit. it's somebody's idea of control thinking of keeping people in restrictions.

Solid back-up lack of vocal strength

Worst Concert of the Year for Ozzy
