I live in the Denver CO area and I went to his show here, and I was not able to find good tickets. I was able to find section 1, row 2 tickets for the Chicago show, and I was "FINALLY" able to meet Ozzy in Person, If you read this Ozzy, THANK YOU and Thanks for taking time to answer questions and be the person and more I hoped you were. Some say that Ozzy's performance was a bit bad, how can a guy who has Ozzy's life, and schedule be 100% every night ?? Not easy, and it didn't effect my thoughts on how I felt, I just thought and hope he was fine for the future shows and I hope he's on tour again next year. It may be $1.000.00 a ticket, but I will be at 1/3 of the shows right there in front, rooting you on Ozzy for being the AWESOME PERSON YOU ARE !!!!!! Rock on, and Thanks for the Lay Your World On Me song Ozzy, LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!!!!! OZZY OZZY OZZY !!!!!! I am going to get his signature tattooed on my body and other Ozzy symbols as well. There were afew people who I met in Chicago and they help make a awesome show even more awesome to have known them for the short time, also, if the person whom I was talking to about the video's on the TV in the first room we were in, and how we can get those video's from the guy Dave, some of those video's are on YouTube under "Ozzy Spoofs." Love the American Idol Ozzy !!!!!!, also, the husband and wife who I spoke to as well, hope your all well.
Yes during the first half of Not Going Away, his voice was totally off, but he got it back during the second half.
Then he started losing his voice during Bark at the moon....but he ended up doing 6 or so songs after that and his voice hung in there. He deserves alot of credit for being the age he is and still having so much energy and yes finishing the show strong even with his voice almost going out.
As for the person who said a backing track was played the whole time, I say B.S. You can tell when his voice was going out and I heard no such backing track, otherwise it would have been perfect sounding.
Ozzy and his band did a great job as always and I will see him everytime he comes to Chicago.
Also, Rob Zombie was amazing as usual too. He has really stepped up his live show and I love the band he has now.
Ozzy must have been sick that night. He stumbled through much of the night as his voice kept giving out. Other nights the reviews have been pretty positive on the tour except for Chicago. I've seen him eight times now and this by far was his worst night (it's impossible to be perfect every show). According to other sites his setlist was supposed to include "Fire in the Sky" and "Into the Void". Does anyone know why he chose to skip those two during this show?
Ozzy was awesome he is a god. He sang his ass off for us thats why at the end his voice was going away, he knew all the words fine. Zombie was great as well. Ive seen Ozzy 5 times and he was great in the 70's he was great in the 80's and hes still great now.
Thank goodness Rob Zombie opened with such a dynamic set, and Zakk Wylde was a guitar hero. Ozzy looked tired, I think it is time to take a break from touring. Monitors at the front of the stage as Ozzy didn't remember the lyrics to most of the songs without them. Wearing a babushka, far from the menacing stage presence I remember seeing Black Sabbath in the 70s and 80s. And asking the crowd to chant "one more song" before his encore, it just felt wrong. Ozzy, I will continue to rock with your music in the gym and in my house, but I don't think I will be making another trip to see you live again.
Rob Zombie was everything he was suppose to be and more. Great effort, great lights and stage show and great performance. He was an 8/10.
As for the Ozzman, I have seen him at least 10 times in the past 20 or so years and this was a "painful" concert to watch and most people agreed as the chatter continued in the hallways after the show. His timing was off, his "pajamas" were awful, he screwed up all the new songs and if not for a great band led by Zakk this was a very bad performance.
I love ya Oz but this was a very sad show and I hope it is not a sign of something I never thought would happen...the beginning of perhaps the end of touring. Ozzy was a 3/10 and all the other shows that I have ever been to were an 8 or better.
Last nite was great. the first band sux i get it u can scream but hell stop already.
Rob Zombie was great but quite frankly i didnt care about seeing him but he still rock in my book.
OZZY WAS THE MAIN REASON I WENT. HE ROCK I WAS SO CLOSE IT WAS ALL GREAT. YES HE DID HAVE A LITTLE PROBLEM IN SOME SONGS BUT HE STILL ROCKED OZZY IS STILL THE BEST HE HAS EVER BEEN. ROCK ON OZZY I CAN'T WAIT FOR MY B-DAY TO SEE HIM AGAIN.
In This Moment - Their singer looked really awkward onstage, like she didn't really know what to do. Her screams were kinda cool, but mostly shrill and annoying. Her melodics sucked though. Their drummer was attempting to do blasting but failed on the first try and then seemed to have given up. Whatever, they didn't get me to interested in them.
Rob Zombie - Easily the best out of the three, at least during THIS performance. The only thing that disapointed me was that his set list was a shorter redition of Zombie Live, it would've been cool if he played some songs that he usually doesn't play. Otherwise though, his show was exteamly well done. He was the reason I paid $100 for this show. He made it for me!!! I LOVE ZOMBIE!!!
John 5 Solo - Amazing. He is my favorite guitarist that is among the living. (I wish Randy Rhoads was!!) Very entertaining and kickass.
Ozzy - Honestly, this performance was probably one of the worst Ozzy shows I've seen. I mean, I was hoping for him to do at least SOMETHING off of Diary of a Madman! But anyways, it just was sad at how they did Crazy Train, it seemed very un-metal. I was greatly disappointed at the set list, in fact I actually sat down during "I'm not going away." If you listened closely, you could tell that they had an audio track playing as well as the band. Lip-syncing? wtf? He did that at Ozzfest too. Anyways, I did think that Ozzy had his heart in it, jumping all over the place and such. He's still a really good preformer, at this age too!
Zakk Wylde Solo - It went on too long. I really hated Zakk that night. The Gibson he was playing was a stolen design from Dean, and he didn't play ANY Deans at all. There were stolen Randy Rhoads parts in the last part of the solo and ANYONE can play notes with a whammy bar. His need for booze was apparent (at least to me). PLUS...he played the Star-Spangled Banner even though John 5 did it first. It's just a commen courtesey not to copy another guitarist's solo while on tour with them. Overall, I was extreamly pissed with Zakk.
I'm just going to stick to reviewing Ozzy here. Although yes, I was there for Zombie and In This Moment.
(Slightly out of order...)
I Don't Wanna Stop
Crazy Train

Road To Nowhere
Not Going Away

I Don't Want To Change The World

Overall, it was a great show. I thought he was a lot more active on stage during Ozzfest but that's to be expected. By the end of this tour, he'll have done close to 100 shows this year alone. The fact that he's still doing that absolutely blows my mind. He came out very strong, his voice sounded top notch. But as a previous reviewer said, it took a turn at 'Here For You' and continued into 'I Dont Want to Change the World.' I'm not sure how to explain it though. I've seen the man 15 times in concert now. I've heard his voice crack before but this was almost as if he had some of weird frog in his throat. He never missed a beat though. He stills loves the crowd, full of smiles on stage. After coming back out for the encore, his vocal problems seemed to come to a stop. He sounded great during 'Mama' and 'Paranoid.'
Concerning the set...
To be honest, I'm very surprised how often Diary of a Madman is completely skipped over. Flying High Again had always been a concert staple of his. Vocally, it's no more complex than anything on Blizzard of Ozz. And although he's very anti-Ultimate Sin, I think he'd do great on songs like Shot In The Dark, given how much deeper his voice has grown over the years. I'm not complaining, I just find it strange. I think we all know he's capable of a lot more than he ever gives himself credit for.
If I had any gripe, it's the crowd. You don't sit down during Rob Zombie and Ozzy Osbourne. I'm sorry, but their music is just too moving and they put too much heart into their shows for people to simply be lazy. If you're looking for a place to sit and tap your feet, stay home and throw in a DVD performance.
Otherwise, solid show. Great performance. A lot of fun. Thanks Ozzy!

You don't have to leave the lights on. I'm so used to being blind.
After letting the show sink in overnight, here's my thoughts:
In This Moment - The singer said it best, "I'm small, but I'm loud!" Good god, those shrieks hit you to the bone!! It may be for some people, but not me. I gave them the benefit of the doubt though, their album actually doesn't sound to bad. Musically, they've got potential. Think Evanesence (minus Amy Lee) meets Shadows Fall
Rob Zombie - Absolutely rocked! I completely forgot that John5 was his new guitarist, so that was a HUGE plus. Loved his fan interaction too.
Ozzy - Wow, the Old Man continues on. The show was kicked off with "I Don't Wanna Stop" followed by "Crazy Train". Now, it could've just been me, but Zakk sounded very muddy through these two tunes, as evidenced by his frequent trips to his guitar tech after each song. He was using his "SG/V-Bullseye" bastard child guitar, then went to the Bullseye V after almost exclusively, save for a song here and there. After that, it was all systems go, and Zakk was at his best. Ozzy on the other hand started strong, and was pretty impressive. The problems seemed to come for his voice, however, during "Here For You", which was on the latter end of the set and almost each song thereafter. The poor guy's voice was cracking so badly that you could audibly hear "ooh's/aah's/groans" coming from the crowd. I felt badly for him, but God bless him for soldiering on. After each and every song, he kept hitting the liquids/throat spray he kept in front of the drums, which seemed to help for about half a song the rest of the night.
I just wished that the people running the soundboard would've recognized that Zakk knew Ozzy was struggling and stepped up to the mic for most of the tunes after that, which would've thickened up the vocal parts due to Ozzy's voice going away, but that was to no avail. All in all though, I am very satisfied that I got to see a living musical legend live, and have no regrets seeing his courageous, gutty performance!! God Bless Ozzy!!!
This Moment-the first band was loud as hell but not very clear. Didn't sound very produced. Just like your car stereo cranked up with the factory system. Someone said that girl has some lung capacity. I said "yeah that b*tch can scream!" Good stage presence. Curious to hear them recorded.
Rob Zombie put on a kick ass show! TnA on the video screens provided by the artist...He said it best, it was an efficient use of the time they were given. The show kicked off strong and just when you think it was going to slow down, BAM right back in your face! It just plain ROCKED! It was cool that Rob went into the crowd when John5 was soloing.
Ozzy...What can i say. This was the first time i have ever seen him in concert. People say "does he still have it?" I say oh YEAH! I was impressed by his vocals. It sounded not much different than the younger OZZY. He has this un-mistakeable tone that just cuts through the arena. Sure he's no spring chicken but you can easily see his heart is totally into it. Zak was awesome. He can shred with the best of them. He did this pose a couple times with his hair being gently blown in the wind by a stage fan. Looked like a music video move. He and OZZY know how to put on a show.
Awesome, Awesome show! Ozzy was his usual crazy self, Zakk was tits on the guitar, they played all the songs you'd want to hear!
Zombie sounded great as well. I was very disappointed the last time I saw him (last year at the Brawlroom) and he did an extremely good job at winning me back!
That first band sucks.... Maybe the Budweiser people put them on stage to make everyone leave the seats to go buy beer??? Well it worked for me anyway!
Tonites the nite. Gonna see Ozzy in the same arena as I did for the Diary of a Madman tour 25 years ago. It was a blizzard in Chicago last nite, and there will be another one tonite. But this one will be indoors. Ozzy has had 2 days off. So I believe hes rested and ready to go... Let the madness begin......................
If you have allready seen the concert at a different venue can you please tell me the when the show actually started and ended. I am not going to be able to get there until 8pm and I dont want to miss anything!

It's my first time seeing ozzy and i cant wait- i got section1 row 9 seats but the tickets say seat numbers and i was wondering if its gunna be a open floor or seats?

Go check out the weather here http://www.weather.com/weather/wxdetail/USIL0225?dayNum=5 just remember that we are getting hit with icy today....so if your not from around here bring something warm.

I'm going to Chicago only to see the show from Tokyo.
I've seen Ozzy many times so far but never seen Rob Zombie.
It'll be exactly exciting show without doubt.
btw, Is there very cold in this season??
I am so psyched for this concert. I just got my tickets the other day as my early christmas gift from my pops. I asked for the cheap tickets and ended up with lower level tickets instead. I've never seen either of these guys in concert before, but I will enjoy it as I sit in section 110 a few rows back. I'm gonna get drunk as hell. See ya'll there.
Ok, I didn't go for the expensive tickets and got the $80 ones and got 1st row in section 4. Taking the wife this time and the kid is staying home........Tickets go on sale to the general public on the 13th.
Yippee...lol...got section 1, 9th row...too bad it wasn't closer, oh well, still not bad...now i just have to wait two months to go...lol...that's gonna be HARD!!! hope everyone else gets great seats too...see yas there (sort of) lol
Thanks for the advice. I never get any tickets anywhere, but ticketmaster anyway. I had no idea about that. Thanks for the heads up though, for future reference. I know some other dates are going on pre-sale October 10? I read that on the ozzfan site. They were a couple of dates that were supposed to be on sale last week, but changed. I'm wondering if this show will be on then.........anyway, this s*** is killin me!! LOL!! I am way too impatient for this....lol!!
Its a ticket broker. Ticket brokers post dates as soon as they hear about them to get people chasing tickets ASAP. Now the show is probably on the 16th, fine, but I wouldn't necessarily take a ticket brokers word for it. Just wait for an official site to say something about it, like ozzy.com or ticketmaster or Allstate's official site.
Cant find anything on ticket master for the 16 or the 15, wnet too zombies site said the 16th of december, anyone finds anything about price plz PLZ!!!!!! E-mail me at metallover3000@yahoo.com

Of course....
Ozzfan?????????
has anyone became an "ozzfan"? if so, have you received anything from it yet?
Go here....
