I was there at the Cal Jam 1 also. I also have one of the original posters from that show. I am not sure of how many they had made than. But I do remember seeing a few there at the show, even though it was 34 years ago WOW!!!!!I was 16 and now I am 50. I sure burned many brain cells at that concert, however it sure was worth it. Does anyone know of what the value would be for that poster???

Please let me know @ fightphoto@yahoo.com

thanks everyone,
Rock on
Michael

Hi, It's me again Mr. Pamplin. But you can call me Allen. I'm glad you called Team Headquarters. I know Mike, Mike Kasino and his girlfriend GiGi. I interviewed both of them about the California Jam back in 2002. GiGi gave me the original California Jam camera-ready-art. Now that's one-of-a-kind. I later found the original contract between ABC and TeamHeadquarters, plus the printing and die-cut order in a Fresno storage unit. The total poster count is 10,100 posters. I have the documentation to prove it, not some old mans memory. I heard your from Washington State according to GiGi. I'm in Issaquah Washington, Come on over and I'll show you. Email me at < caljam1974@hotmail.com > or < caljam1974@iols.net >. I'll even show you the Black Sabbath Contract for the California Jam, and a hand written letter from ABC stating that if they don't show up at the California Jam they'd be cancelled from the show and sued. I also have three original Cal Jam posters. By the way I'm also writing a book about the california Jam and I'd like to hear your story. Allen

P.S. I am also the one who printed those California Jam poster reprints in April 1999. They were printed on a 28" Heidelberg press at "D.T. Marshall Printing" in Redmond Washington. I had 300 printed and have 100 left. My reprints are even rarer than the original. Hope to hear from you and show you some cool California jam stuff. Allen

You are referring to the reprint that was done several years later, I have one of those also. Printed on much thinner cardboard and if you look at the bottom they say they are reprints. This is an original.

My data is from Team Headquarters and confirmed with Mike, the guy who printed the originals that were sold the day of the show at the speedway. These were never for sale anywhere else. I don't think there were "websites" per se in 1974...

And I don't care about the condition, it's not for sale. It's the first time I saw Ozzy and I will keep it thank you.

Mr. Pamplin I presume?

About the California Jam poster, I don't know where you get your data, but there were 10,100 Cal Jam posters printed and die-cut. They sold for $2 each at the site. Yours looks to be in pretty crappy condition. You could probably get 5 or 7 bucks for it on ebay. Allen
