Lads, i really do think the show was a bit of a let down...one song into the gig and Ozzy was already gasping for breath, zakk was a good entertainer with all that spitting action, but when it comes to playing guitar, please, give me a break, he can't be put in the same bracket as guys like Randy Rhoads or Tony Iommi..he's a bit of a clown. This said, it was good to see that Ozzy can still pull off a semi-decent show and stay on stage for one and a half hrs.
This concert was f***in amazin all the songs were done f***in brill but the second he shouted all aboard i went f***in insane and there wasnt a chance of comin out dry he f***in poured half da liffey on us f*** it was rapid and zakks solo was fucin savage plz come back nxt year ozzy il be f***in der
f***ing amazing concert, 2 b front row a few feet away from ledgnds like ozzy nd zak ws unreal, especially since twas my first concrt.... I wsnt sure if he cud stil sing like he sabbath days, but he could! amazin shw! wel worth it
So, are we to applaud him for turning up? He charges €65. He should turn up. I think he should also play more than 85 minutes. Have seen older performers playing 3 hour shows. Without the aid of backing tapes as well.
I must admit that I did never expect the Concert to be soooooooooo KICK-ASS
Especially when Ozzy asked if we wanted to hear "NO MORE TEARS" I really flipped a lid. That song was the ultimate highlight of the gig. All I can say is, OZZY KEEP ON ROCKING LIKE THAT AND THAK YOY FOR A GREAT SHOW.
Dont forget man that ozzy is 60 and having to deal with lots health s*** and all your doing is moaning that he never left the monitor at least he showed up and put on a good gig. Lets see you do what he does at that age eh?
Have seen ozzy every tour since donington 1984. This show was the poorest of all since then. Never more than two steps from the monitor when singing. can he not remember the lyrics at all.
This is the F******** amazing show that I have ever been!!!!!!
It was uncredible to see Ozzy, Zack and the other guys!!
Im from Brazil and I have to came to Ireland to see a concert like this one!!!
Thank you Ozzy, I'll remember each moment that I saw this night! Thanks a million!!
an un real show...
headspace really got us warmed up with their dream threater type riffs
the Zak with Black kick our asses
the Zak Ozzy n co buried us with a perfect evening of amazing music.
guys ye should be proud
wow........ what more can i say, ozzy totally blew me away, ive waited sooooo long to see him and it was well worth the wait. the talent, the showman, the comedy!, very talented, very funny, and very very sexy.
come back soon ozzy
Well done Ozzy for showing up and giving us all a fantastic gig.
I thought that BLS were terrible, they sounded so flat and looked like they werent enjoying the gig at all. But then i supoose that the venue was less than half full when they played.
Ozzy blew me away and produced a fantastic gig, well done!
I have waited 16 years to see Ozzy return to Ireland. I saw him back in '91 in McGonagles and it was brilliant, but i was so pissed i can hardly remember it. Just remember Zakk taking a mouthful of water and spitting it out for it to land all over me. I have been a major fan of all Zakks solo and BLS work. So to have my two favourite artists together was heaven. Ozzy still kicks ass. The man is the best entertainer i've ever seen. My wife wasn't really a fan, but she absolutley loved it. Just to say Thanks Ozzy and Zakk. You're still my heros and brought me right back to my youth!
Absolutely savage!
Zakk and the boys were brilliant but when himself galloped on i think every1 knew it was gonna be great craic
He must have thrown half o de liffey over us!
From the minute BLS started till ozzy finished Zakk was unreal but ozzy was de lord of all he surveyed!
De new stuff didn't sound too bad , no more tears was awesome but when he roared 'All Aboard'
evey1, well , i did, went mental!
Paranoid was just savage i think i even saw a guard moshin outside
It was the 21st anniversary o my first concert,Maiden on the somewhere in time tour in '86 and i'm only 36 so when i saw zakk with randy's polka dot V that just made it for me
I'd say randy enjoyed that 1!
Its just a pity the bastards didn't put him in de RDS.
Never mind theres next year if he carries on and I'll be fukin there
OZZY WOULD MAKE A GREAT FIREMAN IF HE WANTS TO STOP!
THE CROWD, WAS f***EN HOT MAN THE PLACE WAS ELECTRIC,
B.L.S. FROM THE START ZAKK KICKED SOME MOTHER f***EN ASS,
OZZY YOU ROCKED, B.L.S. KICKED SOME SERIOUS ASS.
I WANT TO THANK ALL YOU CRAZY f***ERS FOR ONE FANTASTIC NIGHT.
CRAZY TRAIN =========================================================================
What an unreal show. Black Label Society rocked the place, I was almost too wrecked after them to go on but Ozzy came on and the point was just pumping, the crowd was amazing and Ozzy was really into it. Was standing in the center just off a massive mosh pit too so couldn't have asked for a better night! Out of many concerts I've gone to, that was by far the best.
Cheers Ozzy I think you've made up for the past misses. You always know it was a brilliant concert when your ready to collapse afterwards =)
Set list was basically the same as the other shows on the tour but he put No more tears in there somewhere too.
Ozzy and the Black label Society rocked Dublin to the ground last night I have followed Ozzy for 31 years all through Black Sabbath and his solo career and it was well worth the wait . if you were there we had a great night if not your loss. What an open to the show with Zakk and the BLS ( SDMF ) the Irish chapter of the BLS gave them a great welcome by the time Ozzy took to the stage we were well warmed up and the rest is history. We love you Ozzy please come again ROCK ' N ' ROLL
Cant Wait for This Gig. Was at Ozzfest a few years ago when ozzy didnt turn up. Was a brilliant gig but huge dampener when he cancelled better not happen this tie. have to go to his gaff and kick his skinny ass . Black label will be an awesome opener. Zakk Wylde is nearly as good as me on guitar. His tribute to Dimebag will be the highlight of the Night .
DIME REST IN PEACE BRO!!!!!
Anyone going to Metallica on Sunday . Can't Wait . Haven't seen Machine Head Live since about 92/ 93 in SFX on Burn my Eyes tour Awesome Band
Seen Mastodon in Feb @ Ambassador . Truly a magnificent band.
Does anyone out there remember Ozzy's gig in the Top Hat venue in Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin, cica 1988? And did he play Dublin's McGonagle's at one time also. I know I was at the Top Hat and I think I saw him in McGon's - but not sure about that one. They were both tiny venues and it was (to borrow an often used U.S of A term) AWESOME to have been in the presence of his craziness in such intimate surroundings. The Top Hat and McGon's are no longer. The former is now the site of expensive sea view apartments and the latter, which was on South Anne Street off Grafton, is a restaurant or something (not sure!). Incredible to think of it now but I also remember seeing Metallica play the Top Hat on the Justice for All tour (the dates - 2 nights - are on their website). Ozzy's gig there was during his "come back" tour when he'd gotten into shape and was looking great. The idea at the time was to play smaller venues and to get back to basics after all the 80s big stadium excesses. I think that tour was Zak's first also. I'm gettin' sentimal now better stop before them tears ruin the key board! I'm glad I saw the Oz before all that MTV buffoonery but alas Mrs O always gets her way!
See you tomorrow night Mr Crowley....
Ok I have to forgive you Ozzy for ozzfest as it rocked anyway but you cancled two other times! please show up cause you wont know what hits you when you reach Ireland-we rock over here! x
Yeah the Point Theatre is normally quite good, I seen Slayer there about 5 years ago and it was great, beter than the time at Punchestown (hope thats how its spelt) or the RDS, so it should be fine.
Why do you think that Ozzy played such a small venue? I Think that with the right line up he could have filled the RDS. But then I wouldn't care what the line up was, id be there for Ozzy!
He better not pull out again, I was so annoyed the last time it was unreal. Can't wait to see him live, hopefully the sounds good cause there's a lot of whining about it from reviews on the tour. Point is usually hardcore though so fingers crossed! If my ears aren't ringing for a week afterwards i'll be disappointed =)
I was also going to that concert. The one that really pissed me of was Ozzfest. The first time it had been to Ireland and he didnt show up for it. Apperently he was really ill but was ok 2 days later to play for the queen in London.
THAT IS WRIGHT baphomet418 I WAS GOING TO SEE THE MAN HINSELF ON THE,
22 OCT O3 HAD EVERTHING SORTED TO GO BUT- AS YOU KNOW HE DIDNT SHOW,
LETS SAY FOURTH TIME LUCKY?? THE NEW ALBUM IS f***EN GREAT.
Well I also cant wait to see the man himself but I'm not getting my hopes up as he has pulled out of the Irish gigs the last 3 times. So the real question should be; Is he going to show up?
And if not, which is likely, what is he going to do about it?
I absolutely cannot wait for the Prince Of f***ing Darkness to play at The Point!!! It is going to be a legendary night... I can't wait to hear the excellent I Don't Know blowing the f***ing speaker out when he comes on... or the catchy as hell Shot In The Dark, or the anthem of Bark At The Moon... until the legendary Crazy Train blows us all away!!!
LONG LIVE OZZY!!!
Oh, does anybody else love the song "Waiting For Darkness"? I'd love to see him play it!
