Melbourne Concert..OZZY RULES!!!!!!!!
I've just come back (or rather floated on cloud nine) from the Melbourne Concert at Rod Laver Arena!!!
IT WAS AWESOME!!
IT WAS CRAAZZYY!!!
OZZY RULES!!!!
My life will never be quite the same again after finally seeing Ozzy live at last!
I'm gonna be writing a more detailed review, when I can think straight and type better!
For now, all I got is hyped babbling LOL
Not gonna reveal the Setlist, in case I ruin it for the next two Australian concerts...though it's tempting.
The crowd went craazzy and I've almost lost my voice now, of course...nobody wanted Ozzy to finish and we tried to keep getting that "one more song" as many times as we could til Zakk ended up throwing his Bullseye Hybrid V guitar straight into the audience!!! That just sent us all the more crazy as the mosh pit was fighting over it...didnt see who got it in the end, but I hope he had a bodyguard to get home safely WOAH.
But of course, they took their bows to a screaming crowd, strolled off stage, the lights then went on overheard and then it dawned on me...it was all over. I actually started to cry a little,me a grown woman, like a kid who had their lollipop pinched suddenly.
We played Ozzy CD full blast all the way home in the car....and met many cars doing the same at several sets of lights!!
THANK YOU OZZY FOR COMING TO MELBOURNE!!!

Tour Diary
So Far So Good.
3/15/08
We arrived in Melbourne safe and sound a few days ago. Flight was easy, and was able to watch American Gangster. Great flick! Yesterday we had rehearsal at the Rod Laver Arena. We jammed some new stuff to hopefully add into the set. Earlier in the day I took a walk over to the Arts Centre to check out the Nick Cave Exhibition. There was some really fascinating and inspiring things there. I am glad I went and checked it out. After rehearsal, an Aussie buddy of ours took us around bar hopping. We ended up at this place where an Ozzy/Sabbath tribute band called War Pigs was playing. Needless to say, we had a blast! Our first show on this run is tonight. I am anxious too see my first Australian audience.

The first show went f***ing off! What a great crowd. Melbourne, you guys kicked ass. We all had a blast. KISS is playing in town as well, and Paul Stanley came down to the show. It was an honor to meet him for the first time. I mean, KISS is the reason I even play music in the first place. When I was a kid, they were the coolest band ever. In about an hour, we are going to head off to the Grand Prix. I have no idea what to expect.

omg, someone else has already blown the setlist for Sydney and Brisbane concerts by posting a link in another forum thread...damn shame, really :( That's the Net for ya.
oh well may as well go ahead and do a proper review. Glad I didnt know though in advance...the thrill of each next song wouldnt have been same.

Apart from Zakk Wylde - who else is in the band??
Been about 20 years since I last saw Ozzy at "The Monsters of Rock" at Donnington. He's always had an amazing backing band - want to know whos in the band before Tuesdays show in Sydney.
OH yeah, the person that scored the guitar was escorted out by security, he needed some protection, lucky bastard.........
Yes, it was a great show despite the crappy sound at Rod Laver.
Ozzy was in good form and I thought his voice held up well.
The set list was not what I expected but a realy great selection of old and new, sorry, not telling either
Over all an awsome concert, Im 38 and took my 17yo son and his mate, they were blown away, I think Ive converted them from punk in 90 minutes!

Nah soz, will post setlist with better review when Ozzy has finished the other two concerts in Australia. Wondering what the next song was gonna be, was all part of the excitement and hype....not gonna ruin that for anyone!! And I'm sure Ozzy management would agree :))

yes that was one crazy but f***ING FANTASTIC concert, even tho i was squished for most of it....but it was well worth the squishiness and all the sweat WELL DONE MY MAN!!!
