Ozzy (Singer) Vs. Ozzy (ShowMan)

The,

First Time I ever Heard of Ozzy was in High School. I knew He was Weird, but I wanted to know More. I researched his Roots & Discovered Black Sabbath! They were from that point on My All Time Favorite Band. I notice that Ozzy was more or less only the Singer for Black Sabbath, but I liked him All the Same.

By the Time he launched a Solo Career, he started getting really Weird & was putting on a Stage Act more than Ever before. I think this Frightens people to some degree. I like the Good old days of Sabbath because Ozzy was less Vulnerable as only the Singer for a Mega Successful Rock Band.

As time passed Ozzy began experimenting with Theatrics & such. He never would have done that with Sabbath. He is talented as a Showman and has proved his worth as far as Carrying the Weight of the Show.

Now, more than Ever He is the Subject of Open Controversy for doing something that is considered Normal Today; ie. Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, etc.

I think He was put off by the Whole thing & this somehow has Crippled his Old Confidence the Same way that a Separation from Sabbath has. It's Sad, but I will always think of Ozzy as a Musical Genius and not just the Front Man for My All Time Favorite Band, Black Sabbath!

I wouldn't want to see a Reunion because Ozzy does things Perfectly Well on his Own when Allowed to do so. He has a New Threat, though. Modern Media & the Younger Audience plus Old Fans Desiring More of The Classics. It's not Just Ozzy, either. Everyone seems Caught in a Time Warp, but I have no use for Resurrecting something that was Great at one Time. I enjoy it's Classical Influence over My Entire Musical Spectrum.

The Bottom Line is that Ozzy is not only a Singer, he is Also a Great ShowMan. That's important when Fans keep Demanding More & More & more & More....

The Monster was Created back in the Late Sixties with Sabbath & to this Day it remains an Allusion for all sorts of Dark, Scary Music....

Even Sabbath with Ozzy mellowed out by the time of 'Technical Ecstasy' & 'Never Say Die'. You notice they were then playing for an entirely New Generation & I'm sure the Media influenced their Career Decisions as far as Projecting towards a Certain Crowd goes.....

Just Thought I'd share a Few Thoughts in a Positive Light!

Sincerely,

Dave

I love both, I love his songs, his voice, he seems to be great on concert (I dream to see him singing in France soon), and he's very very funny :) (and hot)

However, even if I don't know many Sabbath songs, I prefer his solo career, I love the songs he made after the Sabbath years.
