Can we keep this thread about Ozzy and his songs over the past 40 years? I think the topic venom created is a good one.
----------------------------------------------------------
BLACK SABBATH: NIB or Behind the Wall of Sleep.
PARANOID: Hand of Doom is a great song too and far less played, as with Electric Funeral ... but Paranoid, Iron Man, & War Pigs are most well known.
MASTER OF REALITY: Children of the Grave with Embryo are it for me. Lord of this World does it more for me then Into the Void does.
VOLUME 4: prefer Supernaut. i've always loved Changes and Laguna Sunrise too...big time
SABBATH BLOODY SABBATH: have to admit the title song is something I love ALOT, and would really freak to hear again. Fluff is beautiful too. and what about Spiral Architect?
TECHNICAL ECSTASY: my pref is Rock and Roll Doctor
NEVER SAY DIE: agree with Scape NEVER SAY DIE, but Over to You is cool too. this is not my more fav Sabbath album, honestly.
BLIZZARD OF OZZ: I really like Goodbye to Romance :-) but $heez, what song on this album ISN'T good?
DIARY OF A MADMAN: wow. i love You Can't Kill Rock and Roll, Flying High Again, Believer, and Over the Mountain.
BARK AT THE MOON: Spiders in the Night is an awesome song...but so is Bark at the Moon, and Slow Down.
ULTIMATE SIN: Shot in the Dark is an awesome song. i just love watching Ozzy singing this song! can you say FU#KING $EXY AS HELL????
NO REST FOR THE WICKED: Breakin' All the Rules, Fire in the Sky, Demon Alcohol, Hero, and The Liar
NO MORE TEARS: Hellraiser is BAD@ss, and so are Road to Nowhere, Time after Time, and Desire.
OZZMOSIS: agree with Venom & Scape, Ghost Behind My Eyes and Thunder Underground are both great songs...as is See You on the Other Side - damn, that song always makes me cry, it just connects with me big time!
DOWN TO EARTH: wow...damned excellent album...but i guess Running Out of Time, Junkie, Black Illusion, and Can You Hear Them
UNDER COVER: Rocky Mountain Way or In My Life
BLACK RAIN: Lay Your World on Me, Countdowns Begun, and Trap Door
Now gimp, you know i hate generalizations. this conversation is SPECIFIC, not lumping everything into "the Sabbath years" etc. (sigh, Darkblade reaches through the screen and slaps gimp around for 3 minutes in her frustration at his thick head)

there ya go! i knew you had it in you. now, think of the albums he's sang in from the beginning...and if you had a song from those you'd like to hear, what would they be? you'll have to go to p.2 prolly to get a listing of each album, but ~ from them, what would be coolest - of all?

what are you saying Antoni? to whom are you addressing the following?
I would think also very interesting that your set list was in Berlin in Germany ...
Another interesting news is through the net: he now will do shows in South America and Argentina already have a set list that rolled over there
what the thread is discussing are Ozzy songs from the 40 years he's been playing, from Sabbath to Black Rain. if you go to page 2 it shows some of our preferences. It's not about what are typical set lists, but what are our dream ones!
I would think also very interesting that your set list was in Berlin in Germany ...
Another interesting news is through the net: he now will do shows in South America and Argentina already have a set list that rolled over there :
01 - I Don `t Want to Stop
02 - Bark At The Moon
03 - Suicide Solution
04 - Mr. Crowley
05 - Not Going Away
06 - War Pigs
07 - Road To Nowhere
08 - Crazy Train
Zakk Wylde solo - Great !!! ehehe ^^
09 - Iron Man
10 - I Don' t Know
11 - Here For You
12 - I Do not Want To Change The World
13 - Mamma I'm Coming Home
14 - Paranoid
And one more thing : I think it would be a nice show with 50 years of madness hehe
yeah if only that time were here now,,he needs to have his life lessons now,,nothing i say or do mean sqat to him,,god ive tried ,,trying not to lose sleep over that is a hard thing,,the mind boggles at what he thinks he can do---heres a funny thing ,,you know i told you he joined the volunteer fire fighters,,well when he went n picked up his uniform at the regional office ,,he told them his name and they said oh can someone bring out mr know-it-alls clothes --obviously in the last few weeks he has made a name for himself,,unfortunatly this this wil stick to him like glue,,im thinkin oh god i used to work with people like that and they were dicks,,oh well i hope his elders in the fire fighters will make him pull his head in,,this is good for him to grow as a man ,,and over the last few years i have shown the kids volunteer work is great to be involved in,,to have community spirit is good ,it keeps you grounded,,well we will see if he makes it

gimpnoid ,,the ledgend grows LOL
i know nothing of the guy he wants to party with ,he has never spoke of him before ,,and he lined up a ride there with a friend of mine who is 23,,without my knowledge ,,and my friend said he would drive him home ,,and i know there would be alcohol in the mix,,im not a stupid dad--this friend of mine took my son to the local pub and got him drunk a couple of weeks ago,and then went back to his place and splattered them selves...my son thinks im a dumb s***,,,,,this is stuff i used to do,,does he think he can pull the wool over my eyes,,i cant wait for my son to realise that i know him and im lookin out for him,,he just thinks this place is a torture camp and im a spoilsport,,, im hangin to see my boy with kids at a much later date and see what happens when the shoe is on his foot
--
gimpnoid ,,the ledgend grows LOL
yes the testosterone factor,,well i try and not lean on that issue anymore,,actually after years now i think i have destroyed it,not saying im not a man ,but a better guy ,,i'll never be what i want to be in that case but its something to travel towards,,,a gimp in motion,,a slow transformation ,,,,so the journey is always a journey
--
gimpnoid ,,the ledgend grows LOL
yeah cool one blades--well i try not to live with regrets,,and what i should of done and what i didnt do and how i make amends,,well me now,im trying to be a better person for myself and kids,,i was not with them for 7 years ,well the older two,,and my mind couldnt stop thinkin of them,i had 2 years bail 2 years gaol 2 years parole and one year waiting,,so i had plenty of time to think,,to think on how i could be a better person for not just me and mrs gimp and the kids but to be better for the people around me,,i hope one day people will think different about me,,and think there goes a good guy who dont mind helpin those who ask or need help,,,my persona here maybe a slight shimmer of an old me sometimes as i like to joke about a bit ..but thats all i will bring forward from my past ,,the rest of my past is fractured and i hope oneday my deeds of the present will help heal a broken gimpnoid, maybe not full fixed but less breakable as tears do roll every now and again ,,as i was very violent towards others and had no care ,except mrs gimp,,but she did see me rip it up on other people,,i am a very large ogre type of bloke and used it often to inflict injuries and pain on others,so do i have regrets well i try not to think regrets wise but i internally apologise every time i think of the pain i dealt out to every person out there,,and my days are sometimes filled with these apologise,,im not going to throw it on my childhood upbringing as violence was a daily thing ,,thats a copout ,i knew what i was doing was wrong, and i know what is right and i stay awake for hours of a night where my mind wont let me rest with the demons of my past rattle away inside silently sneakily eatin me ,and that is a battle im winning and in the daylight hours every apology kills one more demon,,and thats what is in my closet,a closet full of demons and hate,,

i love much of what Ozzy has recorded, although there are some songs that don't do much for me. i have a hard time understanding criticism that his music $ucks after the first two albums. i mean, that is seriously weird for me to fathom where people who say such things minds are. maybe they're people who love to dig their heels in and spew negativity out about Ozzy because, well because maybe they're nihilists. of course in my opinion there's the high probability of the jealousy factor being in there when it's guys ragging on him. he's quite talented, charismatic, sexy, down to earth, and engaging. maybe that freaks some guys out. seems like it did Tony Iommi somewhat, Ozzy's appeal to the masses and to women.
The more I think about the are some songs I might change.
Maybe these
black sabbath: wicked world
paranoid: hand of doom
masters: lord of this world
vol 4: supernaut or wheels of confusion
sabotage:the writ or megalomania
sbs: stick with killing or maybe get a little trippy with who are you
technical: same (don't really care for this album)
never say die: swinging the chain
blizzard: revelation
diary: s.a.t.o
bark centre of eternity (love the intro)
sin: lightning strikes
wicked: demon alcohol maybe bloodbath
tears: how bout the bonus track party with the animals
ozzmosis: my jeckyll doesn't hide
earth: same
black rain same
The whole problem he just has too many great songs. Although I'm not sure if that's a problem

there's my two cents...not worth much i supposed, but my fav at least at this snapshot in time :-+ kiss kiss
I've been an OZZY fan since the age of 8. I remember my friend brought his brother's SPEAK OF THE DEVIL tape to school for a class party. That was the day I sold my soul. I think that in 2010 it would be fitting for OZZY to celebrate his 40 years of madness by going on tour and performing one song from every album he's recorded. This is the set list I'd love to see:
BLACK SABBATH: N.I.B.
PARANOID: PARANOID
MASTERS OF REALITY: INTO THE VOID
VOLUME 4: UNDER THE SUN
SABOTAGE: THRILL OF IT ALL
SABBATH BLOODY SABBATH: KILLING YOURSELF TO LIVE
TECHNICAL ECSTASY: DIRTY WOMEN
NEVER SAY DIE: JUNIOR'S EYES
BLIZZARD OF OZZ: CRAZY TRAIN
DIARY OF A MADMAN: DIARY OF A MADMAN
BARK AT THE MOON: WAITING FOR DARKNESS
ULTIMATE SIN: KILLER OF GIANTS
NO REST FOR THE WICKED: TATTOOED DANCER
NO MORE TEARS: S.I.N
OZZMOSIS: THUNDER UNDERGROUND
DOWN TO EARTH: FACING HELL
BLACK RAIN: I DON'T WANT TO STOP
I also think it would be perfect for the tour to end where it all started, in Birmingham. Put on a huge show with 5 or 6 opening bands. And broadcast it live on PAY-PER-VIEW for those of us that wouldn't be able to make the trip to such a historic event
