No clue why that is A, but if I figure that one out I'll let you know! Numerology is where the answer to that lies, as in the one that they studied like 3,000-2,000 years ago. That may not be the technical term for it, but basically that's what it is. Iron Maiden sings the line from the Bible saying it's the numbers for the name of the beast or some sort of thing like that.
