Does anybody know what happened to the tapes of the ...
Ozzy did some sessions with Baz Dunnery before Blizzard of Oz and as far as I know, they were never released anywhere. Being a big fan of both Ozzy and Baz Dunnery ( who is now sadly dead )
I would really love to hear them. Does anybody know anything?

Really? What happened to the original releases of Blizzard and Diary? Where is Speak of the Devil? I won't even venture to guess what Lee Kerslake and Aussie bassist Bob Daisley might have to say. And wasn't it Ozzy that said "Goodbye to Romance"? Oops - Bob Daisley's words. Ah, OK, I'll shut up now. I'm sure that I've pissed off my share of good people for the day.
i tend to disagree ozzy is an ol time romantic,,they would be some where

Interesting, but if it is like you say 82 Ozzy has probably burned the tapes a long time ago.
i'd change the topic type to Ozzy Related instead of Off Topic. This is interesting, and definitely Ozzy related, you know? I saw some Necromandus on YouTube, nothing with Ozzy of course. I'd like to know more. Can you share if you find something out?
Hey, sos, I wasn't really familiar with it myself, but I didn't have any trouble finding info.
(1977-78 ozzy departs from sabbath.)
During this time period, Ozzy attempts to put together his own band. He recruits "Necromandus" guitarist Barry Dunnery, bass player Dennis McCarten and drummer Frank Hall, and records demos for a proposed album. These demos have never seen the light of day. Later this same year, Ozzy again makes another attempt at a solo project and recruits "Dirty Tricks" guitarist John Fraser-Binnie, bassist Terry Horbury and drummer Andy Bierne. However, it wasn't in the cards for this line-up either.
Also ran across this posting from Frank Hall.
hello
when i was asked to play with Genesis , i was putting the fisrt Bizzard of OZ together with Dennis McCarten ,OZZY and Baz Dunnery (brother of Francis Dunnery ) so we were hoping things would progress that way with Ozzy. Unfortunatly Necromandus lent towards a more prog/jazz stlye which didn't really materialise. We were not really a second Sabbath and possibly OZZY was looking for that. by the way thanks for the remaining interest in necromadus (and KFK). Also check out books 'OZZY' by the rock detector and the 'thunder of drums' - John Bonham's life story.
thanks very much for your kind words

Some of Necromandus' work was apparently released about 25 years later on an album called "Necrothology." Amazingly enough Necromandus was produced by Tony Iommi. Like it says, the demos with Ozzy have never seen the light of day. And knowing the way that Ozzy's catalogue is managed, and the way he's treated people that worked with him early in his solo career, I wouldn't be surprised if the tapes of those demos don't even exist any more.
