does anybody know when the hell Ozzy's song on Slash...

so alright, Slash is my number one idol (even though i am not a fan of Libertad (Velvet Revolver) nor his last single (Sahara & Paradise City) but i reckon the song Ozzy is singing on is gonna slay. i remember when Sahara was released that somebody said that it was to be released in January but that's all i know. i've tried all kinds of Slash forums but no answers.

(the album will be out in April but the Ozzy song was supposed to be released earlier)

I need a link to a site where it can be purchased and mailed. Anyone know, is it on Amazon?

The Gimp claims to have it and says it is very good indeed! I might even go out and buy it!

I can't seem to see you baby ... although my eyes are open wide ... but I know I'll see you once more ... when I see you, I'll see you on the other side

The Pulse of Radio reports: Slash has released the first single from his upcoming self-titled solo debut, a song called "By The Sword" featuring vocals from WOLFMOTHER's Andrew Stockdale. However, the initial choice for first single was "Crucify The Dead", with Ozzy Osbourne singing. Slash explained why the switch was made. "The problem with this record is, because I do have all guest singers, you run the risk of, you know, getting singles rights and interfering with the release of other people's records," he said. "So that's really what the issue was, is making sure that whatever single I was using wasn't sort of stepping on the toes of that artist's own record. And Ozzy's got a new record coming out."

Slash's album, his first official solo outing, is due out April 6.

cool thanks, cant wait till April

30 second clip of the song is available via Itunes. as are all the other songs.

gbarton / News / 11/02/2010 12:06pm

Come inside to watch a brand new video interview with the guitarist.

Slash’s debut solo album Slash is out in the UK in May, but Classic Rock is selling a very special Slash fanpack – containing the album, a special Slash trubite magagzine and a whole lot more – on the newsstands from April 7.

The album that comes with the Classic Rock Slashpack will also be the only version to include two extra bonus tracks: Baby Can’t Drive (with guests Alice Cooper/Nicole Scherzinger) and a wicked cover of the classic Guns N’ Roses track Paradise City (with guests Fergie/Cypress Hill).

Classic Rock has 1,000 early-bird copies that you can order now for those of you who just can’t wait! Pre-order your exclusive Slash fanpack for just £14.99 (inclusing P&P within the UK) and be the first to get it on April 7! (Please note, all orders placed outside of the UK will include additional postage and packing fees.)

The Classic Rock Slashpack will be available on magazine newsstands nationwide, in over 3,000 non-conventional music retail outlets such as WH Smith and all supermarket chains and many independent high street newsagents on April 7.

Roadrunner Records will be releasing the conventional Slash album in the UK on May 10. The album includes brand new tracks from the guitar hero himself including collaborations from Alice Cooper, Chris Cornell, Kid Rock and more.

The tracklisting is as follows:
Ghost (Ian Astbury – The Cult) 3:34
Crucify The Dead (Ozzy Osbourne) 4:04

cool. thanks for the update. i think it's on the mag rags online - the metal ones - that I've read most of what is going on with his efforts. whether that is perceived or deemed "valid" - that's not for me to say. I would imagine some of the bigger ones have to verify sources. Maybe things just changed.

actually (i ment to post this when i posted the tracklist in a second post but my internet connection broke down) no trustable source said January. Slash said on facebook about 2 weeks ago "rumors are that the Ozzy song will be my first single. not true". April 6 (the US date) was the first official release date but no March does not become April seeing as the album will be released In Japan in March 24. i hate the Paradise City cover (though Fergie sounded surprisingly good on it. it's just the rappers that ruined it for me.) so i'm not gonna defend Slash for raping one of the biggest Rock classics ever. but it is not gonna be on the album. it will be one of two bonus tracks on the album in Japan but not in the rest of the world. a song that features Alice Cooper will also be a bonus track in Japan. we can only hope that the Ozzy song will be one of the singles that will be released before the actual album.

sorry for the misinformation in my first post.

so march has become April, and obviously january (for single w/Ozzy) has either become february or april too. damn.

If you open this topic, and click "Edit" - you can change the location of this from Ozzfest Talk to Ozzy Discussion. You're the only one who can do that.

Well, in the music business it seems like they say one thing but don't hold your breath thinking it's going to happen. They seem not to care about deadlines too much, ya know? They probably lose alot of sales doing that crap, because the memory in our microwave society even for a beloved musician is short, it's true.

I'm excited too...but do record companies promote things anymore? not that I can see, except for gay disco emo $h!t singers and bands. they rely on the artist to get the word out, or local radio which is bull. given that local radio stations usually play gay emo s*** too, even "metal or hard rock" ones.

yeah exacrly. i am going nuts here lol. Ozzy & Slash are two (of four) of my biggest idols in the world. i was getting excided about this in October. now i'm like crazy.

yeah i read that. it also says "Axl Rose & Black Sabbath are going to be pissed when the here the lyrics" but it's January 18th already and we don't even have a date. that seems very weird. and by the way; i did not mean to post this in the Ozzfest talk. my intention was to post this in Ozzy Discussion. so if an admin or a moderator would care to move it, it would't harm lol.

Damn, I hear ya. It's already January 17th...when they say January, I expect January 1, 2nd at the latest. What are they thinking?!?!?!?!?!!!!!*********!*!**!*9yu4q89wyrpaq89we

Blabbermouth.net says:

"Today I got a chance to hear some of the new Slash [VELVET REVOLVER/ex-GUNS N' ROSES] album that will be released in March of 2010. We should have the new single (which is going to feature Ozzy [Osbourne] on lead vocals) in January!"
