Occasional drinking of an alcohol is not yet an addict but everyday drink due to some reason is addiction even on bottle it may take. The question is why? Due to your habit? Addiction to alcohol are associated with sleeping disorder, eating disorder, depression and many more. Even just one bottle a day I think it is considered to be addiction.

Well it was bound to happen. The web site suffered from some SQL injection attacks on the main server. This was because the main portion of the site was writen about 9 years ago based on a really old forum system that has been updated over the years. because this site modded the crap out of that system it was impossible to upgrade.
what this means is..
* I will be rebuilding the site
* all User accounts will be reset (you will have to re add your self in
* all hosted forums will be ofline until I can merge the new code in
* the forums will be offline until then.
* Gig system will be scrapped and not archived,
* Ausmetal Networks will be looking for ppl interested in admistring the Gig database

Thank you and good night. Ladies and Gentlemen, Elvis has left the building.
well, i would not discuss alcoholism as if it's understood to be anything unless and until you live face to face with a person deep in it's clutches. it is an incomprehensible and powerful addiction. period.
a friend who lost it recently tried to quit but could not. he could drink a case and still stand there ready for a fifth of whatever you had and talk s*** with the best of them. the body builds up an amazing tolerance, especially when it's multi-generational and as chronic as it was in him. he was the most severe alcoholic i have EVER known in my life. it was always more, more, more. until his body shut down in blackouts. he had no self-esteem and no ability to do the usual things we do in life.
yes mate do what you want to,,,my thoughts exactly,,,im like that i dont think life is there to torment over,i made a conscious decision not to work ever again ,and live life the way i want,,and in australia there are loopholes for such a person,i get a nice fortnightly pension my wife does too , she's my carer, and now every year the government here gives us little bonuses,,we just received 1 thousand $ and soon we'll get more,,last year the bonuses we received was about 8000 $, hey so why should i slave my life away, hey but now im the bizzyest ive evr been, ive got community spirit where , i help when i can,, donate some art for auctions to raise money for who ever needs it,,
and getting to the alcohol ,ive never been a big drinker and never will be,i like to get wasted evry now n again, but usually my mind does all the freaky things i use to pay for ha ha ha ha ha hey 82 that'll get ya thinking..so im in a happy place right now,,so cheers to ya's

Medical fact is that most cases of true alcoholism are caused by acute allergies. A large portion of the remaining cases referred to as "alcoholism" are simply folks who can't handle their stuff. There is that percentage that develops (over)diagnosed dependencies. Of course, my personal sentiment has always counted them in the group that can't handle their stuff. In my case, I know that something in Tequila gets me, so I stay away from it. If someone makes a decision on their own that they don't want to drink for whatever the reason, I admire them for that. Guys like the one Andy mentions usually get to punch their own ticket. They get to choose between living life the way they want to and suffering consequences, and giving up what they enjoy to possibly gain a few years. My friend's brother was a severe diabetic and made that same choice.
I kind of believe in gimp's idea of special occasions. Of course, to me now, EVERY DAY OF LIFE is a special occasion. I went the route of giving up or cutting back on the bad things, because it was the right and healthy thing to do. And after about 15 years I learned that it just doesn't matter - when your time comes that's it. I'm going to live the rest of my life the way that I want to.
A 22 years old male in England has died from liver failure, as he was an Alcoholic, and because he would not/could not give up alcohol for six months, which is the rule for staying dry if you want a NEW liver in England!
So if you start at an early age, become addicted, then you can expect an unpleasent live!
SO mes enfants, just be careful!

Drug or alcohol addicted person is very irresponsible. Sharing needles, non protected relation with people that they don't know, getting disease the individual will suffer for the rest of his life. Also it can bring the individual in to criminal activities that will bring him to spend part of his life in prison as a large percentage of the crimes are directly related to substance abuse. Also it can mean the addicted individual will die due to his life style or his direct use of Drugs. They do not see the "world" as it is. The goal of the intervention is for the person to accept the reality of their substance addiction and to seek the right help. They would to look at those around them as to measure of how right or wrong their behaviors are. People that surround themselves with persons who are caught up in the grasp of substance addiction are not able to see the drastic lengths that their own dependence has come to. Their using "friends" are a duplicate of themselves, leading them to believe that their own actions are acceptable cause the environment accept them. You should never get in to a drugs or alcohol intervention without the full knowledge of what to do. Also get the advice and help of a professional counselor.
