Jake E. Lee Reunion

I was reading Jake E. Lee's biography on www.jakelee.com when I read this,

"For four years, Jake toured with Ozzy. They put out "Bark at the Moon", which eventually went multi-platinum, and quickly quieted critics who said Rhoads could never be replaced. The "Ultimate Sin" album followed, and was another grand success for Ozzy Osbourne. Ozzy, however, was in the midst of his drug-and-alcohol days, and fired Jake in the middle of one of his rages. Contrary to common belief, however, Ozzy and Jake remain good friends to this day, and Ozzy has recently talked to Jake about a possible reunion, although Jake has repeatedly turned him down."

Just like Zakk, I wish that Ozzy and Jake would work out there differences. Jake E. Lee is an amazing guitar player. And I'm not saying it's going to happen, but wouldn't it be cool to see the Jake era Ozzy one more time before Ozzy decides to finally retire?

Nah. I think that's long past any probability. I'd prefer new blood.

Why??? I don't think "Bark at the Moon" is very good. Seriously. And "Ultimate" was...blah. I like a few songs (Lightning Strikes, Ultimate Sin, Shot in the Dark, Killer of Giants), but not nearly as much as some of his other albums. Let me say, however, that I can understand that creativity would be stifled given the death of Randy and Rachel. Bark At the Moon was just so far of a departure from the quality of Sabbath and his first two albums, I for one vote "nay." The only song I liked on that album was "Bark." "Spiders" was good, but it didn't appear on the album.

I'm not putting down the man or his chops, I'm just saying that the mixture of them with Ozzy for me didn't work. He was beautiful to watch though. A nice looking man. Gorgeous. He was a rock star.

The bass guitarist Daisley who recorded with him for albums one and two was talented. The controversy though, Daisley's own fault, was a shame. Bug eyes...and whispers...that would creep me out too. The guy thinks he's a miracle worker when he's really not. Randy and Ozzy were. After reading articles from his own lips talking of things, I don't blame Ozzy for scraping the guy off his shoes. He seems like a big jerk. He's a good guitarist, but definitely NOT the magic of the first 2 albums. Randy was. Even if Ozzy today doesn't recall that he said that, I can understand why he felt that way.

---------------------

Blasko, now, I'm thinking he's got that same fire and then some, and doesn't have the price tag of Daisley. He is really very very good. Gus G? You can tell he is brilliant. If he understands classical and pacing with quiet moments (not always full-on like his preferred guitar hero Yngwie Malmsteen) and can weave that with his own style into a distinct "voice" on guitar solo's? I think it will be beyond amazing. Tommy Clufetos, wow, just a phenomenon. I think on the magnitude of a Castillo. Adam Wakeman, fantastic! Understated, the 'hidden' talent in the band - but I'm thinking if cut free the guy will bring some beautiful, timeless stuff forward. He is extremely versatile. I just love the guy!

Ozzy has all the key ingredients for a really really amazing album. My only question is - Ozzy, when are you going to hit the studio and set these men free? You have GOT to do it. These guys are STELLAR!!!!!!!

Please!!!!! Don't do the Sabbath thing until AFTER you do something with your own band!

I would love for this to happen. Randy is my favorite of them all then Jake then Zakk then Gus. Nothing against Gus or Zakk but I'd rather it be Jake E Lee on guitar. Daisley on bass is out of the question. I can't belive that he did so many albums with Ozzy in the first place. I love the bass on the first two albums especially but he's not gonna do anything with Ozzy anytime soon. As for Jake and Zakk he'll probably get back together with Zakk sometime. I hope he and Jake get back together but I don't see it happening. Can't wait for his concert in Phoenix on 1-26. I'm so excited!

agreed, it wouldnt work. but I loved Jakes guitar although I'm not a fan of Ultimate.

I couldn't agree with Robinson12 any more!! It would be amazing to see Ozzy get back older members from the past. I can't believe any true Ozzy fan would disagree! Jake was a phenomenal guitarist. It's not about new blood or cutting edge guitar work. It's not about trying to top the guitarists of Ozz's past, at this point in Ozzy's career its about celebrating the rich history of musicians that helped make it all possible. Let's put it this way, if I heard Jake E. Lee was playing lead, there wouldn't be anything that could stop me from going. I can't say that for the roster he has now... no offense.

I am a 'true Ozzy fan.' ~Not sure why agreement that Ozzy should tour with Jake is your criteria defining what is one. Have you watched the recent video that Jake E Lee contributed to?

I love Jake E Lee. He's a brilliant guitarist. But that was a pot shot. Not sure why they felt that necessary. Kind of sad.

The quip about 'the management' was obvious, but even more of a slap is "playing Bark at the Moon 750 more times."

He was beautiful to watch though. A nice looking man. Gorgeous. He was a rock star.>
Thank you for the compliment!

I admire Ozzy; Ozzy gave the tone deaf hope that they can be stars like him someday, even if
they are fat and crazy. That's the important thing.

I know Jake doesn't like Ozzy. Jake said Ozzy abused him with dirty words, he said
(one more word, I'll hit you! then he fired me.) He said he was happy only when he played with
cars. Also (when I played solo, Randy's fans stood in front of me, putting up a placard (Randy is still
alive) Well, I am glad they love Randy, but they don't need to do that in front of me.)

He said he fed up with music business, (why do I have to continue this?)
So I wonder why people want to see Jake and Ozzy together. I enjoy both of Jake and Randy's music,
but I think Ozzy's fan are not good people, like you!!

I really have to agree. But I like Jake's guitar. My friend who goes to welding schools also agree.

Cool. Fantastic
