i really like johnny, hi is a great actor, but i don't think, ozzy, is the role for him..

IThey say I worship the devil
They must be stupid or blind
I just listen to Ozzy !

johny depp to me is a awesome actor who can pull off such roles as edward scirror hands and blow and pirates of the carribean and too many too mention and i still think he can do the job well,,his acting capabilities are there , he is a true actor not just a b grade one like brad pitt,,and if heath ledger was alive today he could of done it as well

--

ahhh...well, in a very recent article he's quoted saying so. i have NO IDEA why he wants Johnnie Depp to play him, he looks and acts nothing like Ozzy to me. that'd be like me wanting Angelina Jolie to play me. Ummm... radical differences between us which i see as the parallel with Depp and Ozzy. IDK, just my 2 cents.

i don't think that was being argued Andy - read my post again. perhaps that was during his phase where he was taking 43 pills a day, getting stoned on drugs and drinking.

It is an impressionist called John Culshaw who takes Ozzy off a treat in England.

I seem to remember that Ozzy once said that HE thought Johnny Depp would be a prime candiate!

Number 1

ahhh. ok. i think you might have read that somewhere. that's where it's coming from. do you really think the same as Ozzy in this regard, honestly, with a grain of salt? i wonder if he really has said that or it's just rumor an innuendo being multiplied. ha.

but depp can make people beleive in the movie and in ozzy

wow gimp, that is an interesting stretch of facts and extrapolation.

an actor will not "make" people come to Ozzy, know him, see his star. that is a HUGE thing to pull out of the blue and say just because you want him to play the part (for this moment anyways) intensely. even if LD likes Depp too.

someone who looks nothing like AND ACTS nothing like Ozzy, even if he's a star of the hour, would be a big mistake to have portray him. i don't think Depp can pull it off. he's too much recognizable as himself. the point would be to believe it's Ozzy, not think of the star all the time and say "oooh, he must be important because THIS actor is playing him." that being the case you wouldn't, couldn't get into Ozzy.

--
btw? Ozzy's star shines brighter then what you think, on it's own. people "know" who he is. and have for 40 years. he's unforgettable.

a well-scripted, interesting, well-acted movie is what is needed. not some box-office person who's face will always be known for Pirates. think about it.

yes that too ,, but depp can make people beleive in the movie and in ozzy

gimpnoid ,,the ledgend grows LOL

no he doesnt but its not neccesarily about that.
Hes a great actor and would make a lot of people watch the movie who dont know about Ozzy yet.

(darkblade pushes the buzzer to cut off gimps wind. johnny depp my @ss. looks nothing like Ozzy.)

yeah see im not the only one who thinks that jonny depp could do a amazing role

--
gimpnoid ,,the ledgend grows LOL

ok lets say 60 hahaha.
no, I dont think Jack Black would be right. I would love to see Johnny Depp cause hes such a great actor. I think he would do it properly.
No oppinion about Val Emmich at all.
And for Ozzy never being fat. Well, right not fat in the sense of fat but I have a few pics in mind (which I cant find) you wouldnt call slim either.

forty? try 100. hahahahaha!!!! and, i asked b/c gimp mentioned asking you. in person he has the mannerisms and the way Ozzy moves his eyes down big time. he grew up with Ozzy as his hero. i was mostly joking lol. here's another one http://c2.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/99/l_24c7760df5da46c4a2e55da1a7d0cd09.jpg i think he looks more like a dead ringer then anyone else we've been discussing, that is for sure. other than the actor i mentioned Val Emmich.
--
and, regarding Jack Black...Ozzy hasn't been that fat EVER.

I admit the guy on the pics you posted look a little bit like Oz.
I think it woul be great if they could find some actor who does. I suppose that would be good for the movie. Maybe thats why Ozzy said that he could imagine someone totally unknown to play him.
I remember that Jack Black was interested to do it. Sadly he's much too heavy. If I would be Ozzy I would have asked him to show how much he is interested in the job by loosing 40 pounds hahahaha.

so LD what's your opinion on the likeness of the pictures posted below?

curiosity killed the cat

as an aside, did you know that one answer to the question on google.com "who said curiosity killed the cat?" is the following? Darkblade takes out her vomit bag and sits waiting for your reaction as you read this:

Curiosity killed the cat by WL1
"Ssss, haven't you heard kitty that curiosity killed the cat?" the snake said and bit me with his venom. That was all I remembered as my body is now being ...

I can't seem to see you baby ... but if I'm correct, ya still havena read "I Am Ozzy."

well if ozzy turned up here then i would let him do what ever he wanted,,it is ozzy of course ,

gimpnoid ,,the ledgend grows LOL

that is ALOT of chickies...peep-peeping. definitely don't want to have Ozzy over to help feed the wee ones!

i have a incubator on the go ,,and so far twenty chickens and another fifty comin and i will load it up again with more ha ha ha ha ha ha my chook yard is the chickenopolis,,,this year im hoping for three hundred,,sell some make a dollar or two

--
gimpnoid ,,the ledgend grows LOL

baby chickens sound and look very cute. my daughter and i have had the feed store try to wrassle us into getting some. i'm like "NO THANK YOU." i'm not here and can't do so many animals. pretty soon i'll have to hire someone to care for all these critters as it is!

gimpnoid ,,the ledgend grows LOL

shhh...i like hearing the crickets sing.

Ozzy narrating his own story (and maybe ending the thing) would be very cool. i think Ozzy should be the one to decide highlights in his life, the main things that define him and his career, and those things could be little scenes woven in. just my opinion on this, but i think when they age an actor it's more successful then when they use different people. Orlando Bloom doesn't look a bit like Ozzy. Val Emmich on the other hand, he does to me big time. Just take the hair away, add Ozzy's locks...stare at the facial features - he looks alot like him in the early years. ~* pfft!

Or how about this guy?

http://c1.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/74/l_0c0818ffe2f647bbb4af873ba7067b84.jpg

just kidding...but there is a similarity. he's an Ozzy fan, not an actor. although that could be argued, if drama is considered a factor. if you could see the gestures and expressions, the dead-ringer happens big time.

yeah maybe a unknown who has the skills to pull this roll off,,or what about orlando bloom as the young ozzy for the sabbath years ,,or maybe a pile of unknowns to do ozzy's life ,,one for every ten years ,,well i just hope its a great pick,,and some one to do randy hmmmmm have to think on that
and agreed a ozzy movie that would be kik arse,,hey and what about ozzy himself narrating bits here n there ,thats just a thought what do you guys think of ozzy being the narrator

However much i would love to see my 2nd favorite gorgeous man playing the part of my favorite gorgeous man, there's a danger that if Depp does it, it'll all be about him, not Ozz if yno what i mean, with the press and all. And the looks are miles off, totally different facial shapes, sorry Ozz! Val doesn't look right somehow... but Ozzy. Film. = OMG.

You're my religion, you're my reason to live.
You are the heaven in my hell.
We've been together for a long long time,
And i just can't live without you.
No matter what you do, i'm here for you......

Hi
I remember sharon was thinking about johnny depp to play ozzy , there's no way , no similarities at all . I think val is an interesting choice for ozzy . I really believe unknown actors is the key for a film like this . It has to be raw , in your face rock and roll .

Question - who's your choice to play randy
--
Willi James

honestly i have a soft spot for the depp factor in movies,,you know who ever does ozzy,i just hope its done right and a fair portrayel of ozzy

http://www.metalofoz.com/

well ... Val is a singer and an actor. he looks a s***LOAD like Ozzy, to the point where it's uncanny (as in, is his mother one of Ozzy's early day lovers?) seriously. i don't even know s*** about the guy, except when i was doing the Uncyclopedia site portion teasing Ozzy about his unofficially fathered children and was browsing around male actors. i just don't get Ozzy saying he wants Johnny Depp to play him, he looks NOTHING like Ozzy. makeup can only do so much, you know?

i just think johnny dep can play any roll that comes his way,,but heath ledger if he was alive could of pulled it off,,see i stick up for the aussies

http://www.metalofoz.com/

i think VAL looks ALOT more like Ozzy then Johnny Depp does. Or any other actor IMHO!

Is that a "no?"

Seriously now. don't you think Val looks kind of like Ozzy? big time? look at his face!!!!!!!!

i even superimposed Ozzy's hair on Val for that picture, just to show you the likeness Gimp. waaaaaaaaaaaa. now i'm all emotionally devastated... hmph.

uhmmm i'll try out for all or any of the drinkin buddies of ozzy,,i have experience in drinking and havin drinkin buddies

Check this out: this guy could play Ozzy in the Sabbath years. He is a dead ringer, and an actor.

Val_Emmich_Ozzy

Yes?

have you read the book?

I can't seem to see you baby ... although my eyes are open wide ... but I know I'll see you once more ... when I see you, I'll see you on the other side
