well too cool then. the last place on earth Ozzy would walk is around here. it's definitely beautiful country but a bit on the boring side. how lucky for you to have seen whomever. you'll have to keep us posted so we can know if it is him or not.

Oh I am sure of it. This guy (if he was not Ozzy) was a dead ringer for him. In fact I did get to see him for myself after about a week of talk. I was on a balcony of a sports bar when he went strolling by with his body guard. He was on the opposite side of the street and his body guard was literally parting the people as they walked down the street. Ozzy kept his head down pretty much and his hair covered his face, his hands were in his pockets of his jacket. I would say there was not two inches though between him and his body guard, in fact his body guard may have been holding his arm, I really could not tell. I would so love to see them again. I would not miss the opportunity to be able to go up and just say hello. There are so many people in our town looking to see if they see him out and about. Because our town is such a mecca for tourists, he really kind of blends right in. There are so many diverse people here. I hope it is true that they bought a cabin here. It would be neat to know that they are part of the community. I don't know if anyone local would even have the pleasure of meeting him but it would be so very cool!

well if it is true - then you have to put your Inspector Carouseau hat and long jacket on, light up the pipe (the womanly one of course), pick up the eyeglass, and follow the trail to the answer~* I would. I wouldn't interfere with his private property or privacy or right to enjoy time in peace or anything but it's for DANG sure if I saw him heading into town I'd be like _ (whistle, whistle) _ all casual _ just popping up at the same ice cream shop ya know?

You are so very correct it is like the Loch Ness. My brother who gave him his ice cream cone that night in the ice cream shop. He swears that it was Ozzy. I wrote a post about that event in this thread so I won't repeat it. But he said that his bodyguard was the one that took the ice cream and handed it to Ozzy but Ozzy was right there at the counter. My brother almost dropped the ice cream all over the place wanting to say something so badly and get an autograph. He was there at the shop by himself, no one else was working that night and there were no other customers there. My brother called me as soon as Ozzy left. There was also another person talking about him being in Bubba Gumps on Halloween night. They work there. They waited on him and his body guard. The guy says that it was great and he got to have a conversation with Ozzy. He states that Ozzy said he had visited the Ripleys Haunted House that night too. The guy did not get an autograph BUT he saved Ozzy's napkin. (GOD what I would give for that!) There has been rumors that Sharon and Ozzy bought one of the cabins here in the mountains as a "get away". Sharon's name is supposedly on a deed down at the court house but down as Sharon Arden and not Osbourne so I am not sure if that is true or not. Anyway, will keep looking!!

PS I agree with you, I would probably go up to him doing the same thing!! He would need a towel!

All he'd see is a golden blur till i reached him then he'd be politely but firmly asking for a towel cuz this woman would be prolly embarassing him crying all over his shirt and all. LOL.

Well I hate to say this because I was so excited. No one has seen Ozzy at all practically since I posted this. I am sure it was coincidence but nonetheless it was heart breaking. I wanted so badly to see Ozzy and his bodyguard again in town. I don't know if he just left or what but there have been no more sightings of him in town. :( People here have pictures but nothing clear enough to even be sure. He always walked at sun down or after. All kinds of people took pictures but they were as he went by which made them blurry or there was not enough light for them to be able to be seen clearly. SIGH Everyone is still on the lookout so if it happens again maybe we will get some better pics!

I understand completely what each of you are saying and yes it does suck that he can not be himself and walk through a town. I am a major fan of his and would just love to say hello. It has been kind of comical lately because word is getting through town and the joke has almost been like Elvis Sightings. No one still knows if it is for real or not. I agree that if he is indeed here then he should be left alone but I am sure that will not happen with everyone talking like they are. Everyone wants verification and so far, no one has it other than seeing who they feel looks identical to Ozzy and his bodyguard walking after dark.

My brother works at an ice cream shop and he says he came in with his bodyguard and got an ice cream one night there. He got Rocky Road Ice Cream and my brother was so nervous that he almost dropped his ice cream cone. He said he did not want to keep staring so he just started cleaning. Ozzy and his body guard were the only ones in the shop and Ozzy never did face towards the door. My brother called me as soon as they left to tell me and he was star struck!

The last few days here the weather has been terrible so not many people have been out and about. I don't know if in fact I will ever personally see this man again (however, I would love to) I would love to get a pic, not to sell but for my own personal memory of him. If I do happen to get one, I will post it. Thanks for all of your great responses!!

MajorOzFan, I'm not saying you are doing wrong to want to see him, get the chance to say hello, if that is him in your town. I understand the love that leads your actions. I'm just saying that it must be hard to not be able to be yourself, let your hair down without the crowds around. And for those who chase only for the $ a good picture might sell for and not for love of him as a musician and phenomenon in our lifetime, that's the sad part. ~* just thought I would clarify, I didn't mean to roast ya.

Give the guy a break!

Next time you see him let us know when he is gone, so that he can relax with the family!

Well if this guy is not the real deal then he is another dead ringer. Even the way the move through town is like the man with his bodyguard. I heard about it before I saw it with my own eyes. I did not believe it at first but now I do. I have seen the man myself. This town is a tourist town and is so diverse in the crowds it attracts. Ozzy would actually fit right in with few second looks. We have a Hard Rock Cafe here where many that work there go to work in punk rock attire. Ozzy's "look" and dress would not be considered uncommon to many. There are chalets and cabins here that are very secluded in these mountains. It would not surprise me if he and his family have a vacation home of sorts. It is beautiful here and I could see them coming here to get some relaxation. The only problem now is all the locals are out on an "Ozzy" hunt because so many people have caught sightings of him. There may not be much more relaxation for him if he is indeed in the area.

Back in the early '80's (1980's) there was aguy living not far from me who was a younger dead ringer.

At the Birmingham Book Signing there was at least one of those dead ringers. Then there was this one guy signing books! I guess he was the real deal!

I sure will. We continue to go back to make sure this is him. I am not the only one to have seen this. He walks mainly at sun down with a tall man in a dark coat/ dark hat and long hair. Ozzy keeps his collar up, head down and hands in his pockets he also wears his glasses. There are times he will hold the tall mans arm as if to move faster and the man with him has even steered Ozzy right through crowds and literally moved them out of the way. MANY of us are sure this is him.
