well - I still have to get Speak of the Devil, it's next for me. On an aside, I am reading three books I got until "I am Ozzy" arrives from the UK.
The first one is basically just tabloid stuff rehashed (Diary of a Madman, Ozzy Osbourne), but it does have great pictures.
The second was beyond honoring to Ozzy and is excellent (it's by Rudy Sarzo who played with Ozzy & Randy in the day, it's called Off the Rails Aboard the Crazy Train)...he talks alot about Ozzy, himself, and Randy Rhoads and it's extremely very cool. It's one I might read again ~ what a sweet man, and one who loves Ozzy that is for sure. It must have been so hard for all of them when Randy died :o(.
The third book - it's a little bit long winded on a bunch of the musicians who interacted during the day Ozzy was big, and goes into details about technical stuff of music a bit much. It's almost an anthology of everyone big at that time and what they did which is weird for an Ozzy book - but it does weave in interesting factoids and details of Ozzy's career that are good to read. It's by Rockdetector, called Ozzy Osbourne, the story of the Ozzy Osbourne band.
nah wasnt speechless ,never am but last night when i bopped on here,, i had to make it short n sweet and the same now--today i had to get up early and see my heart doc and over the last few weeks ive been doing a art class ,so since im the best one in the class ,my teacher is making my home life very intense with s*** loads of stuff to do--so heres the sitch yes you could be correct in thinking dont blame me is the best and i do love it ,but because ozzy is so intense and overwhelmong with everything he's done and does is so fuking awesome ,i have response im recomending something else to you as ive been saying all ozzy is fukin awesome and for me there is no good nor bad thing --ITS ALL FUKIN GREAT-- and another thing you already know this ,,so i thought my time last night was better spent sleeping ,,sorry for not replying,,

wow, looks like i struck you speechless LOL.
I think i like Don't Blame Me most of all because that's the most Ozzy has revealed of himself in one setting without anyone else around to take focus off of him. When he interviews with others at the same time, time is split so you don't get into him much.
And when he's being interviewed with Sharon, Lordy. She interrupts him or cuts him off and blabs away as if she "knows" what he was going to say or has something better to say. When it's him most people are wanting to hear, not her. It's just so disrespectful and discounting. Like several said on Blabbermouth.net, when she does that she should be called upon for her rudeness, and the conversation redirected to Ozzy. I mean, why can't she complement her husband.
[Since I'm on my soapbox - WHY can the woman never honor what her husband asks? Look at her insensitivity with the large number of times he says things about animals in the house. Most wives are sensitive to what their husband wants and only need to hear things one time. Not her. Damn. She could build a doggie condo and keep Ozzy's home pi$$ and $hit free for God's sake.]
There are some interviews from tele- that you can view on YouTube that are cool too. And I've heard radio shows on the BBC network streaming thingie. But of course those are not something you can buy.
Anyways, getting back to my point (LOL) - in the Don't Blame Me video Ozzy is relaxed. And, as an aside? He's gorgeous. Hubba Hubba.
well he is getting on and well i'd like to see more from ozzy ,but he can take his time-- im fine with that,,and dont blame me came out a while ago -- look i gots ta tell ya my mind is sometimes wandering on dates and years and stuff-- must be all the medication ive been on over the years ha ha ha ha ha ha and thats another story -- and no

Cheers Gimp, will look for that. I saw someone mention that earlier on, but that is the dvd that came out shortly after "No More Tears" wasn't it?
On YouTube, I saw the video for "I Don't Wanna Stop", and it's so cool. "Dreamer" is also very good too. Must be due a new dvd from Ozzy?

Live at Budokan has been ordered due to reading this thread, so thankyou. :) Poor Japanese indeed. heehee..
Is there a chance that in the future a dvd full of his music videos will be released with some interview footage slotted inbetween? That would be one great collection to have.

"Life's a journey, not a destination"
Well then I will have to get Speak of the Devil too. I like Don't Blame Me because this allows you to actually spend time with Ozzy as he says in his own words what life was like touring over the years - along with hearing his songs? I just love it. That one would be my favorite.
Budokan's special features with Ozzy remind me of the Osbournes, where we see him in catchy antics scenes, but don't so much get to spend time with him to know what he's thinking. But for the concert itself? This DVD is awesome...very much a classic like he says to the crowd.
Ozzy sounds excellent, they did a fantastic mixing job in the studio for him, and the selection of songs they chose was just right from current and classic ~ you could see that he had the crowd from beginning to end.
I admit I had a bit of a culture issue with the faces in the crowd from time to time, because I'm used to seeing all races mixed at concerts. Seeing so much of one was a bit unusual. Though I was so amazed at the level of love that flowed from every person in that arena, it was beautiful. You could feel the mood ~ it must have been awesome for Ozzy, actually for all the guys to feel flowing that night.
Have to say that Robert Trujillo was a hoot to watch with his spider-walk. Cracked me right up. And, I think if Zakk flipped his hair a little more it might have been better (lol).
My daughter had this to say (she's 8), and I quote: "Poor Japanese, now Ozzy Osbourne has spoiled them forever." (LMAO)

You've got to
believe in yourself
or no one
will believe in you
Zakk's solo at this show is flat out amazing! As far as live shows that Ozzy has tapped over the years my favorites are the Speak of the Devil show and Budokan.
They are the best ones to get a hold of, IMO.
Truly awesome s***!

Ozzy:"I have no regrets except that I wasn't up to keep Randy (Rhoads) from getting on that plane." (Ozzy Osbourne, Guitar World Issue 37, 2000)
i just got the DVD in today :o) I am excited. Now after the kids get out of my room - cuz of course right now they're watching a DVD in there till it's time for ni-night (laying on Momma's bed - comfy comfy)...anyways, after they go to bed, its MY time...yep. that is, if I can keep my eyes open tonight!
yeah i thought you meant that but hey blades there may be a guy who is out there that may not play music to your heart-- watch out it might be stolen by non muso's( shock horror)nah kidding you'll be right... and yes i do love my wife and she feels the same (now ha ha ha ) it took about 18ish years --so who ever out there says pesistance doesnt pay off--IT DOES

i'm very glad to hear that for you gimp, that's a nice thing to have in this life. and your wife i'm sure would be honored to know that you feel that way. it's nice to hear a man say something that reflects his appreciation of finer things in a forum like this. i have been married twice to men who have felt the same about me. i just did not love them in that soul fulfilled way to stay with them forever.
and, lol, i was as usual being spontaneous and blurting out my reaction to watching this Budokan video. that's not to say men cannot be interesting otherwise. who wouldn't take notice of a beautiful bunch of men-flesh...especially when they're making Ozzy's music and Ozzy is the gem and biggest hubba hubba in the midst of it all. i was merely stating that watching musicians is sexy for a woman. i guarantee 99% of the women you ask would agree. forget the nekkid male reviews, give us a concert with handsome men ANYday. that connects in so many ways - eyes, ears, heart, soul...hell yea!

I don't mean to offend you when I look you in the eyes
What's all this commotion? It leaves me mystified
Chasing all the rainbows falling from the sky
yeah agree any album with ozzy is great-- i have both the dvd and cd,,i love them
oh and blades there are nice guys out there that arnt muso's--oh and i hate the 2d airbrushed type your referring about ,,it didnt take me long as a teenager to figure the plastic 2d women out ( i had enuf of them ) they are too consumed and glued to what society wanted same as the metal headed blow hard ones-- my wife that ive been with on and off for over twenty years now is down to earth and repsects the universal way of things--karhma and the old ways --- she is beautiful and doesnt use the chemikill and really doesnt need to--a beautiful heart and a peaceful nature to calm me the savage beast --so to speak ha ha ha ha

this DVD is in my collection...Rewatched the perfomance not long ago...every time I watch - positively charged for a week...

The darkest
so ozzy doesn't like this album, or likes it the least. how do you know that, and why is that?
.
lol. sorry that stings gimp, but plain truth is what i speak. guys may like their plastic enhanced airbrushed 2-D girls, but women that i know love the badass 3-D in-the-flesh and shivers-up-yer-spine music man. i do see sexy men, just not up on a stage. all you get is one passing glance and it's over (followed up by the wicked daggered glare of their woman heh heh...)
i would imagine it was an awesome concert Rhoads. i wish i had seen it.

I can't seem to see you baby ... although my eyes are open wide ... but I know I'll see you once more ... when I see you, I'll see you on the other side

It was a greatfull concert and the solos was amazing
don't know about any of you other women, but the men in Ozzy's bands - and Ozzy? - are just fan-tastically, unbelievably, undeniably, frankly, simply, and drool-drool-ingly - HOT. you just can't find men like this walking down the street, you know? the Junkie video is enough to make this woman fair swoon (other footage, first video). hubba hubba!
bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahaha!!!!
Ozzy always does have that effect ...except when he's so f@cked up he can barely stand up to sing songs. THAT is disappointing, and hopefully way in the past for him.
no wonder fans were pissed after Ozzfest when he put on shows so stoned and brain dead. he wasn't present - and that's what they came to see!
