What sort of music did you like as a little kid?

I know this might be embarassing (I hope it is, ha ha).
Because of that, I make a start and the only excuse I have is that I was only around 5 years old.

Not bad for a WELSHMAN is he, and I got that sort of blood circulating through my veins as one of my grandfathers came from the vallies in the south of WALES.

However, the last twice I was in Wales, Once when I went to see a young lady we went in the pub and it was England v wales in Rugby and the English won, so i was a little choked, and said nothing! The other time we went fishing (long story) as it happens stopping in the same town in north wales and the waitress said at Breakfast " You'll be crying in your beer later" Naturally the better side won, and the flag of Saint George was hauled high!

His song two little boys was never listened to by one of his Aunts! She lost one Brother, but the other came home(?) during the First World War, and it brought back so many memories for her. Let us home it NEVER Happens AGAIN!

gimpnoid ,,the ledgend grows LOL

gee gimp, you make yourself out to be from a different era or something. it's not like we're that far apart in age. and, i didn't miss the years you speak of ding-dong. Ozzy was huge in my day, as in yours...difference is that he was big in Sabbath for years when I was a young'un, then solo when i was having my first baby. for all of the aforementioned he DEFINITELY has a ruling place in this woman's heart. make no mistake about that. Ozzy is ... Ozzy! i just LOVE Pink Floyd the most. there were many CD's released in my day that were on the wane for Sabbath - they weren't as innovative as they were in their earlier stuff - though I must say that many bad@ss songs continued to emerge from their minds. those, and their earlier stuff were spun many, many, many times, at many parties in my (or my friends) record player.

i liked ozzy ,,sorry im a youngen as far as most of you ozznoids are,,so black sabbath was me

"No pain is so devastating as the pain a person refuses to face. No suffering is so lasting as suffering left unacknowledged." Being angry for violation and abuse, and for chronic helplessness in the face of those things is a normal response. That such degree of anger exists does not mean it's safer left bottled. God help the person that triggers that rage to come forward.

Finding a safe place to release it and allowing healing to occur... to be filled with love instead of trauma... is a far more safe solution for yourself and those around you. But you know what? It is not just anger underneath it all...that's from today. It's what the adult you feels today when you re-experience the memories of victimization, abuse, the powerlessness - it's your fight or flight response.

During abuse a child's mind traps intense emotion inside, and when it's chronic it's locked away in pockets in your brain. When one pocket is filled up to insanity it closes off and another pocket opens up. For some those layers become permanently dissociated in multiple personalities, or in the other chronic mental illnesses.

When you let it out it's horrifically terrifying. Not easy to remain grounded in today while feeling utter terror that got trapped as a silent scream in your head as a child. But it can be done. Not that Darkblade from AZ knows anything about that though. Ha!

To each his own destiny, his own journey...his own freedoms, his own experiences.

Anyways, what the f#ck does this have to do with what sort of music we liked as a little kid? Damn.

and blades to your other question ,,some things in my closet i will not release and cant be controlled, the anger has come out before and i wish to not to be a person violent,i will take these things to the grave its safer

--
gimpnoid ,,the ledgend grows LOL

yes i heard about the irish priest,,and im disgusted that instead of charging these evil fuks they moved them to another church,,but its all out in the open now, lets see how the courts deal out there justice will it equal what has been done to the poor children,,and i have doubt in the justice systems anywhere,,i just hope when these evil doers are sentenced and jailed the other inmates will rain hell on them nice and slow ,,,, gotta love kharma

gimpnoid ,,the ledgend grows LOL

well, if sexual abuse were the only abuse levied out by people in religion that would be a miracle. and honestly, using the cloak of religion and creating such a betrayal takes it into a realm beyond just having a perv molest a child, you know? there is a degree of implied trust when it's someone in a religious setting doing the damage. the same can be said about ANY of the abuses levied out though, when tied to religion, whether in school or in churches.

to have a shallow, insecure, hate-filled soul confront a child day in and day out and humiliate them in front of peers is extraordinarily damaging. not validating simple things like a child raising their hand and whispering quietly "i need to use the restroom" and humiliating that child...so the child defecates in front of peers... wow. direct statements regarding the race or income level of kids, and indirect ones in terms of utter contempt for certain people in the class. we're talking extremely dysfunctional minds here. it was all about control, and a mob mentality. kids being put in the position to join in and attack the weaker so the teacher felt justified in their abuse. to beat a child for not understanding lessons, or for rebelling against the leadership they are seeing, or for being poor, ugly, or in some other way "a justifiable target for wrath" is unacceptable.

the same things happen in churches amongst "the faithful" and "leadership" - minus the physical abuse of course. People are welcomed differently based on whether they are poor, addicts, ugly, rich, married, single, intelligent, not so, yada yada...nothing more sickening, hypocritical. revolting, and NOT reflecting a word written in the book they claim to embrace, ya know? lessons on how to live life as "a good woman" (meaning submitting in a deformed, horrid interpretation of what was originally intended) and being blamed for your situation (alcoholism, infidelity, physical abuse) because you are not submitting...they are abundantly taught, and it's frigging sick. not every place is plagued by these things, but alot of them are. some are just plumb WEIRD, focused more on the devil then on treating others with the same dignity, love, and respect they would like to receive.

The Republic of Ireland has had a shock with the announcement that there will probably be procecutions for PERVERT PREISTS, who thought that they were above the LAW. The head of their church has appologiesed from the bottom of his heart!

So we might see some sort of justice heading our way! Couple that to the North Amercian Cathiolic Church was sued the other year, and the Irish lot wanted to keep the Good Name of the CHURCH intact, despite the torture of the innocent!

RC or what!

which to me is all the more reason to talk about it and get it out till it's just boring to talk about anymore.

when there's energy attached although you think you're free whatever happened is in your brain and creating havoc. it's insidious, and spells death along with other similar things stuffed in and trapped inside. that is where it's power lies...

i've found that all the stuff like that, when i take it out and expose it takes real courage to face. in the end sometimes after many attempts i am able to give people back their shame and torment and evil. i realize it was never about me. and that in the end whatever it was that they did to me was passed to them in some form in their own life. i count myself lucky that i can expose it and break it's hold on my mind.

doing that i re-embrace another wonderful piece of the freedom and innocence i was created with.

when there is no energy attached to something any longer the genuine me i was created to be is all that is left in spaces previously occupied by a memory that shouldn't have been in there in the first place. ~*

just a life lesson, but what the hell do i know? LOL. I'm just Darkblade from AZ.

my skool dayz suked badley,,, i went to catholic all boys skool,,, and i cant describe how bad it was,,thats why there are one liners in this thread,,its when i start thinkin about those days its a feelin i dont want to feel,,

really? some of my greatest memories are with the kids i met and came to hang out with in school. of the crazy $hit we did there. like several friends setting up a periphery watch, as i let the air out of the tires of this really b!tchy teacher so she'd think she'd got a flat when she went to go home. or doing red dot during last period study period and listening to one of my best friends reading Huck Finn. my eyes and hysteria gave me away...she and my other friends caught on and were going off the walls on purpose with me. messing with my head. lol. i also have fond memories of a few teachers who were down to earth and loved teaching kids. i love laughing, and it was a bit short at home. i did lots of that with friends. forever i hold a candle up to the great people i knew back then. we were a family despite our families. here, here to black sabbath, led zeppelin, skynyrd, molly hatchett, jethro tull, deep purple, yes, the doors, janis, the who...and all the parties we had together! music was a huge part of all of our lives~* we were the freaks.

i dont think of my skool days at all they sucked,,end of my story

--
gimpnoid ,,the ledgend grows LOL

yea, i had to wear a dunce cap, literally, in mine. because i wouldn't stop talking...actually, i was always giggling about something or another and it pi$$ed this sister right off. and i wore my gum on my nose more than one day. and i wrote "silence is golden" 1,000 times, enough to have made a permanent bump on my right middle finger from the pencil. and got my knuckles whacked in the principles office soooooo many times...because i just would NOT BE QUIET!!! i was always laughing about something or another, snickering, sn!ggering, gasping with efforts to keep my mirth quiet. my friends and i were always joking around instead of paying attention. but unlike them? i had the loud, uncontrollable laugh. little minx! my mother withdrew me after third grade and put me in public school because things were so hard on me. but 'cha know what? i still got the handwriting assignments and chidings because ... well damn! i couldn't be quiet and just sit still. although one smart cookie, i was hyper and acting out big time. i guess from what i was coping not so well with at home. so? they threw a pill at me.
--
those were the days...some memories were painful, shamefilled, and horrid, and in hindsight ya gotta think "what did they say when they crossed over about that one?" but in all? i survived.

i can say from the catholic school i went to,,it sucked badly

--
gimpnoid ,,the ledgend grows LOL

Not all versions of growing up in "religion" are bad. Actually, i would clarify the word "faith" from the word "religious" and say, in most "religions" there are those of "faith." too bad there aren't more, but they are there. some of us live in faith today, but outside of any religion. this woman being one.

"I have a saying. 'Never judge a book by its cover'. I say that because I don't even know who Ozzy is. I wake up a new person every day. But if you've got a fantasy of Ozzy, who am I to say? I mean, if you think I sleep upside-down in the rafters and fly around at night and bite people's throats out, then that's your thing. But I can tell you now, all I ever wanted was for people to come to my concerts and have a good time. I don't want anyone to harm themselves in any way, shape or form-and my intentions are good whether people want to believe it or not. I'm not going to suddenly become a Jesus freak or anything. But I do have my beliefs and my beliefs are certainly not satanic". (Ozzy Osbourne, Rolling Stone Online, May '97)
