OZZY EXPRESSES OUTRAGE OVER STING OPERATION USING HIS NAME

Since when does the lure of an OZZY OSBOURNE concert become the impetus for a sting operation by one local sheriff?

That's what an outraged OSBOURNE would like to know after the events that transpired Monday, October 29 before his show at the Fargodome in Fargo, ND.

As masterminded by Paul D. Laney, a local county sheriff--under the name of PDL Productions--this is how the sting was set up, all without OSBOURNE’s knowledge:

Sheriff Laney took the liberty of planning an OZZY OSBOURNE pre-show concert party by offering the very same perks included in OZZY’s “official” VIP tour packages including two tickets to 40 unsuspecting citizens who received the PDL invites by mail.

When the “winners” showed up at the bash, they were promptly handcuffed and arrested on various outstanding warrants. Sheriff Laney quickly held a televised press conference to congratulate himself on the successful sting operation.

“This Sheriff should be ashamed of himself for using my celebrity to arrest these criminals” says Osbourne. “Surely with some good police work and a little bit of time he could have accomplished this without bringing my name into it. It’s insulting to me and to my audience and it shows how lazy this particular sheriff is when it comes to doing his job. It’s obvious to me that Laney has an agenda and is just trying to make a name for himself on my back. Next time try some policing skills.”

Despite his comments about Sheriff Laney’s sting operation, OZZY harbors no ill will to the people of Fargo and hopes to return there under more favorable circumstances.

HAHAHAHAHA

How lazy do you have to be to use this method to find people with warrents? It is unfairly targeting people who like Ozzy or Rob Zombie. How many country or R&B fans did they catch that night? Most people have had a warrent at some time in their life. Whether it's for unpaid parking tickets, an accidently missed court date, an unreceived jury summons, or another of a thousand reasons police and courts issue warrants. Singling out a certain group of people is pure discrimination. I can guarantee you that this sherriff hates Ozzy and/or Rob Zombie's music. You will never see this stunt pulled at a country show in Fargo N.D. I would definitely pursue legal action if I were Ozzy. How will this affect future Ozzy promos if people think they may get arrested for a parking ticket? How will this affect sales for V.I.P. packages?

you have got to be kidding me that you would rather have criminals loose on the streets than this rather creative agent of Law enforcement use his brain to lure these a-holes into arrest. It isn't entrapment as they have already committed the crime. It's not like he was downloading on of your songs. I bet Bruce Dickinson would applaud the efforts of Law enforcement in this case. Wait, maybe this is All Sharon's doing as she probably is the only coherent one among you. What happened ? You Suck man !

He should have AT LEAST conulted Ozzy's people before doin it and I think thats what there mostly un happy about.

I think this is an outrage!! How dare that piece of crap officer use the Prince of Darkness to bring Ozzy fans down!! He needs to learn how to do his job the right way instead of "copping out" and using someone else to do his dirty work! We still love you Ozzy, you wil always be #1!!

I think ozzy should sue the fargo police for what they did

Shouldn't the sheriff have to pay for the rights to use your name? I think he should. And out of his pocket not the taxpayer's money!!! Maybe next time he will think before he comes up with a "great idea".
