Ozzy back with Sabbath?

Hi there, I was wondering if anybody out there had any further info. I have heard that Ozzy might be teaming up with Black Sabbath again but it depends on both sides?? Can anyone tell me if there is any truth in this or is this just hopes and dreams?
*sigh*

HEY!!! This is a BIG ta v.muchly to the scapegoat dude who answered my Q with detail! nice to get some feedback! (thanks for the link, any info is good!) Alas, we all continue to hold our breath for that announcement that the original sabbath line up will return. I had mixed feelings about the new Ozzy album. I loved the fact that the Prince of darkness had returned (being a fan of course!) but was a little disappointed.. some of the tunes lacked something.. like the mans heart wasn't completely in it?! Me being me was also disapppointed with the booklet, thought more effort could have beeen put into it-just my opinion but was hoping for more words from the man himself... perhaps I just want too much?! I have respect for Dio, the man has some shoes to fill and I guess it takes some guts to try and step into them but the guy's sound just doesnt do anything for the band.. I would be in two minds whether I would see a sabbath tour with him as the front man.

Cheers once more

Not a problem friend, any Ozzy fan is almost always a friend in my book! I agree with ya about Dio & Sabbath, I enjoy Dio, & I respect his legacy, but he isn't Ozzy huh? lol

As for Black Rain it breaks my heart dude, it should have been better in my book, but hell who am I really to complain much, I guess I should just be happy he is doing anything at all. I also agree with you that the packaging of Black Rain is kind of mediocre at best, I enjoy a well packaged album myself, & lyrics are always a must for me. Nothing like the headphones on full blast with the lyrics in front of ya, with a freshly loaded bong just ready for the smokin to enhance the over all experience I must admit! lmao.

I like yourself am keeping my fingers crossed that Ozzy will reunite with the boys in Sabbath & kick our f***in asses just one more last time! I have to say I am starting to lose hope tho, it seems if he really wanted it bad enough he would make the time, find the way to make it happen, I only wish he would stop dragging his ass on this issue & just freakin do it! Anyway happy I answered a few of your questions, stay in touch!

Well since I checked last the rumor of the matter is "yes" Ozzy wants to do another Sabbath album, but because of his own solo contractible obligations with his label he has not been able to make time for Iommi & the boys, or so that seems to be the buzz. Maybe sometime soon since the recent release of Black Rain, we'll see????

Iommi has went and decided to do the heaven & hell slash Sabbath reunion with Dio, & of course calling it heaven & hell out of respect for the original Sabbath line up. It has also been rumored that Iommi was becoming frustrated waiting for the Ozz man to get in the studio to record new material, & out of that frustration hooked up with Dio. Now I bet you can't guess what happened next my friend? lol! Shazam you guessed it!! We magically, & currently have ourselves a heaven & hell tour! Iommi has went and recorded some new singles with Dio that you can find on the Sabbath website, you may want to take a listen out of pure ole curiosity, not to damn bad I must admit, but it isn't Ozzy if you catch my drift?

I am not sure how many more albums Ozzy is under contract to do with Epic, so I have no clue as to when Ozzy will actually take the time, & the leap to do this new Sabbath album. I was kind of disappointed with Black Rain, & have kind of wrote it off that it may be due to Ozzy not having his whole heart in it, the last I heard Ozzy has expressed that he really wants to do new material with Sabbath, but as I already have stated he just couldn’t get out from under his label putting pressure on him for a new solo album long enough to make the studio time for Sabbath. Lets hope that he indeed does get with Iommi, Butler, & Ward, & in doing so vindicates his lost glory with a kick ass new Sabbath album!

Here is a link for Wikipedia on Sabbath, it contains some info I already gave you, as well as the past & present history of Sabbath, hope it helps you out bro, PEACE!...

Yeah, trust wikipedia *rolls eyes*

Don't hold your breath. Ozzy says this every year. As of now they are only talking, as both Tony and Ozzy are touring. I'm sure Sharon will say and give Tony almost anything so she can cash out on a "Sabbath 40th aniversary" shmeal. As with every year Ozzy spews out the same s*** "I'd be crazy not to do another Sabbath album" with the bulls*** "I don't want to tarnish the legacy, it has to stand up to the classic albums"

Don't get me wrong, I'll be first in line to get a new Sabbath album, with any singer. But I've heard all this s*** before. We'll likely get a repeat of the 04 and 05 deal. Sabbath at Ozzfest playing the aweful eight.

Also, technically Ozzy hasn't been out of Sabbath since the 1997 reunion

Tony Iommi = God, his arch angels are Ozzy Osbourne, Dave Walker, Ronnie James Dio, Ian Gillan, Dave Donato, Glenn Hughes, Ray Gillen, Tony Martin, and Bill Ward (bassically everyone who sang on a song labeled Black Sabbath)

LMAO @ wikepedia, I hear ya bro, I know they are not the most reliable source on the web, but hey I thought it may give him a few answers, and maybe link him up to some more "reliable” information that is out there. As you have made it obvious in a lot of your past posts, I as you, am not holding my breath for this Sabbath thing to actually occur, but as a die hard Sabbath fan I can dream I guess, for now anyway until one of them goes and kicks the bucket on me in the upcoming future thus ending any possibility of a reunion.

I as you have fallen victim of rumor after rumor on this reunion thing maybe becoming a reality, & to say it isn’t getting old, or frustrating to say the least is an understatement. Oh & by the way if you truly are only 19 years old my friend, I must commend you on your Sabbath knowledge, you seem to really have a grip on the legacy called Black Sabbath! Hell if you truly are only 19 that means you were still s***in yellow when I was off moshin & kickin heads in! Lmao! Until next time, take care bro!’

Peace….

First Sabbath song I heard was off We Sold Our Souls, their title track and it has since been running through my viens. As of now I probably know more about Sabbath than any class I've taken, even those in my major.

Ugh, me don't like the math so much lol. I think if I was to actually go back to school I would major in history & music, I love both very, very much. So on that note, I wish you the very best my friend, & good luck in all your endeavors !
