Thanks ozzy

Don't mean anything derogatory by this statement but man, Black Rain is the best thing you have done since Bark At The Moon, Diary Of A Madman, Blizzard Of Ozz and rates right up there with Black Sabbath and also War Pigs.

Replies

I was never a huge no more tears fan, the album as a whole. There is of course a few good jams, no more tears being one. lol

Amen to that but with H&H extending their tour into February don't think they'll have time to recorde and get out and tour. And Sharon will probably want them to do Ozzfest. Hopefully this is a wake up call to Ozzy the Tony and Geezer won't wait forever. After Dio goes back to his band and gets the Magica trilogy finished and toured for I think he might want to retire after once more stint with Tony possibly in the form of one last album. I recall an interview where he said he always envisioned finishing his career in Sabbath.

Well bro I pray so, I really, really do. Nothing would make me happier. I have to say that I couldn’t but help an notice that Ozzy did a fine job of doing war pigs live, as when it came to his solo material he really struggled, I am not sure I shared with ya that I was lucky enough to catch him this year in St. Louis.

I enjoyed the show for the most part, and as much as I love Ozzy, well he just wasn’t that great live, and the age & years showed all to well. And in the end even with all that in the forefront of my mind I still walked away happy that I got to see the old fart one more time, who is to say I may never see him again, after all he is getting up in years, he could be gone anytime now, so that’s what I am most grateful for, that he came, he tried, and in the end he still succeeded in kicking my ass!

I am just keeping my fingers & toes crossed that Ozzy & the boys give us one last hurrah, I would love nothing more than a double record set of new Black Sabbath material! It would be nothing short of inspiring if you ask me…

Later

Double record, don't think that will ever come from any of the Sabs EVER, even solo. Hell Priest are working on their very first. Even a 12 song album would be pushing the limits a bit.

Well you may have a point bro, but with as many years apart as they have had, & I know you are obviously all to aware of how Tony is this never-ending source of heavy ass riffs, that I have to say we should by all rights get a double disc. What do you think, am I wrong in that analogy, or is it just wishful thinking on my part?

<cite>"Being sober on a bus is, like, totally different than being drunk on a bus."</cite> - <strong>Ozzy Osbourne</strong>

Ok and this comes from the college boy, you cant write? I have a hard time buying that one my brother, lol!

<cite>"Being sober on a bus is, like, totally different than being drunk on a bus."</cite> - <strong>Ozzy Osbourne</strong>

Maybe a little of both. Iommi has the riffs, hell he's got hundreds of tapes of riffs and partial and sometimes full songs that he'll go through when working on new material but...Ozzy is another story. For the studio he sure as hell could do it (pro-tools kicks ass) but the extended tour that might be needed for a release like that is another story. Plus I think Ozzy has become more picky about lyrics and such. I just don't see how, after hearing Scary Dreams, how he coould think that the 2001 sessions weren't good enough. Hell they are all approaching 60 and nobody expects a #1 hit from these guys and with Ozzy performance on DTE and Tony's on Fused or Geezer's on Ohmwork I just don't understand it.

ok, but as much as you like to write here at the forum, maybe you should try your hand at writing?? Just a suggestion bro................

Me neither my fellow metal head, maybe we should stalk em down kidnap them and demand a new sabbath album lmao! Then we will sell the rights from prison & they will make a movie about us, what ya think bro? lmao!

Music Is The Root To Our Salvation

Rage Against The Machine

LMFAO bro, I've actually day-dreamed about that EXACT senario. Take em all (Geoff Nichols included) up into a castle in the Europe give them their equiptment, food, beds, ect. And the proposal that they already have three songs. Keep Psycho Man, have Bill redo Selling My Soul (f*** the damn f***ing drum machine they had on Reunion) and record Scary Dreams. Then they only need to write 5 more songs. With all Ozzy;s talk about wanting it to be like the old days, 8 songs should be enough, nearly all their album have that many. Lock them in there and don't let them out until we get an album. There would probably be some banging and screaming at the door for an hour or two but I think eventually they'd get to work.

Maybe I should propose that on the next "Ask Tony" thing on his site...

Black Rain is a killer CD...... I used some of those lyrics and attached Ozzys name and got totally bashed in another site...... Oh yeah... Goat can tell you all about that... Those lyrics are Down to f***ing Earth real life man..... There is no other way to describe things in a song or in this case a poem...... I got so way bashed for posting some of Ozzys lyrics on a site you would not believe the s*** that got tossed my way.... These people have nothing but phony egos and I'll tell ya....... I am really really glad that I did post those cause it brought me back home!!!!!!!
Love to all..............................

Goodbye To Romance

Ok I am sorry to say I have given this much thought, & in doing so have devised a plan of sorts. We don’t really do this kidnap thing in reality, obviously due to the circumstances of doing so, but instead we write a screenplay about a couple of guys that go and kidnap each original Sabbath member, and as OjZoZhYn already put out there we lock em all up in a room in some old English castle, haunted of course lol. It will be like Scooby doo meets Detroit Rock City, but much, much better, mostly given to the fact that it will be based on Black Sabbath instead of Kiss, so we have a head start right there folks! Anyway maybe we should start that screenplay bro, what ya think?????????

Maybe if we make a movie glorifying the Sabbath legacy, they will see it and be inspired to reunite and rock it for us one more time!

I am almost serious, that’s the scary part of it all……… Think on it?????

Best since BATM? No way, IMO its his worst studio effort but it still great.

I WANT OZZY, ZAKKY AND MIKEY... hehe.. xo

No I'm saying all Ozzy's previous albums are better that BR. Its a pretty good album, hell I woke up this morning with Lay Your World On Me stuck in my head. But his other albums wipe the floor with this one.

I agree with OjZoZhYn on this one, for me BR has been a bigger disappointment for me than NMT, but thats just my two cents on it all. Hell what do I know really lol!
