Mistery Question

OK you guys here is the question of the day...... Why does Ozzy sing Mr. Crowley and what is the history behind it?

Love you guys.........

Replies

OK Goat... You do know a lot about the Crowley Mansion. Did you know this? Jimmy Page used to own that mansion back in the day when Zeppelin was together. It was "there at the Mansion" that John Bonham died.... Page then sold it to Ozzy...... When Ozzy owned it, Randy Rhodes died....... Ozzy then sold it to MaCarney.......... That is really weird about those deaths and the fact that the rock legends died during the time that both Page and Ozzy owned the damn thing....... That was what I meant by Randy Rhodes had a stand in this..... :-)

Love you guys......

Well I was aware that Page owned it, however was unaware that Osbourne had ownership of it. I will look it up & check out what I can find on that whole subject, thanks.........

Yeah anything you find out, let me know.... I do know that in 1993 when I was in London, you could take a tour of it........... SCARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Goodbye to Romance

I myself don't scare easy, I have had a few freaky encounters in my life, so far I have kept a grip on it all. I would love to go and see a actual haunted mansion, castle. They went and turned Lizzie Borden's house into a bed & breakfast, that would be a trip thing to go & do huh?

Yeah it would. I wonder though what it really is about those places. You go to the Crowley Mansion and right away your like OMG I want OUT of here..... The feeling is really eary. s*** moves by itself and all kinds of weird stuff happens. I won't go back again. Once was enough for me. I actually wanted to see it cause of Page. I wanted to see what it was like and tried to imagine Jimmy living there. His B Magic got really serious. He practiced that a lot. I don't know what he is doing now but I "think" he is done with all of that. Then Geezer and that big black shape at the foot of his bed cause Ozzy was playing around with 1600 century latin Black Magic??????? Trippppppppppppppppppppppppyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.....

Love you Ozz maniacs.........

Goodbye to Romance

Well its about a guy who practices Black Magic so I always thought it was about Geezer

Tony Iommi = God, his arch angels are Ozzy Osbourne, Dave Walker, Ronnie James Dio, Ian Gillan, Dave Donato, Glenn Hughes, Ray Gillen, Tony Martin, and Bill Ward (bassically everyone who sang on a song labeled Black Sabbath)

I thought it was about Aleister Crowley and Ozzy sort of making light of his "powers"...sort of making fun of him

Your both right but not quite....... Goat? Do you have an answer? I'll come back tomorrow night and give the answer to this question.......... :-)

Goodbye To Romance

Yes it's about Aleister Crowley, who I have read much about, mostly due to the song from Ozzy, Crowley was a British occultist, writer and mystic who lived from 12 October 1875 – 1 December of 1947. lol

I heard the song and later looked him up, later on my first wife bought a version of his tarot cards, the artwork is awesome stuff, Aleister had this woman artist by the name of Lady Frieda Harris, the project took from 1938 - 1943 to complete the deck of cards. Crowley had some cards redone up to three or four times until they were up to his liking.

Crowley has a bunch of info on him via the net, those of you who have never heard of him should check him out, its a good & interesting read. Also check out Anton LaVey, his bio is also interesting, I don't agree with most of these guys philosophies, mostly due to my own personal Christian beliefs, but they still are both interesting key figures in the black arts.
