I'm Fish. Hrh as his royal highness !! Originally born in Birmingham now living in London. The first album I heard was Never Say Die and just got into Sabbath around the time he was sacked. I went on to get all the Sabbath stuff and was totally blown away when I first heard Randy. I was around 12 or 13. Randy inspired me to learn classical guitar which I studied to grade 8. I had to learn all his licks. I missed the Milton Keynes show but got tickets for Diary of a madman at Stafford Bingley hall unfortunately that was never to be.
I met Ozzy on the Bark at the Moon tour and I was the only person who recognized Jake.E.Lee at the meet and greet at HMV. I spent the afternoon with Jake picking out CD's for him as the artistes get free CD's off the store. Jake is into Jazz fusion he particularly likes John Mclaughlin and I remember picking out an Al di Meola album for him. He was a nice down to earth guy. How come these guys are so short? Ozzy's 5ft and a bit same as Jake!!
I saw Ozzy every time he played in the UK. Ozzy inspired me to play guitar and I made a living at it plying in my own bands and as a session player. The one studio I regularly worked at is run by a mate of Jim Simpson who was Sabbaths first manager. The studio is used by people like Glen Hughes (one of Ozzy's biggest mates) who was going out with Linda Blair (the girl in the Exorcist ) when I first met him.
If it wasn't for Ozzy I would not have lead the life I have and met these fantastic people. Thanks Oz !!
