Best Song Ozzy Sung When He Was With Sabbath

We all know that Ozzy did a lot with Sabbath when he was a part of them. But what was his best song during that time. Personally, I think Paranoid and N.I.B were the best. But most of the early work is good.

of course the latter albums put out by Sabbath - i surely do love Ozzy no matter what he was singing but some of the music it was not so hot in some cases i think. it went into a very odd direction. maybe attitudes, personalities, all of that were swelled so big in those days nobody wanted to hear reason.

Iommi can be kind of annoying with his guitar work that goes on and on and (fifteen minutes later) on and ... IMO. yuck.

In the end, Ozzy was wise to head off on his own, his sound blew away anything Sabbath was putting out for awhile. although i am the first to admit that their distinct sound together is just amazing, and there has never been another to take their place in my mind and ears.

Love Ozzy in Sabbath AND alone. Yesterday, today, and tomorrow, OZZY OSBOURNE RULES!!!!!!!! favorite Sabbath songs are

A Bit of Finger/Sleeping Village/Warning
Hand of Doom
Sweet Leaf
Sabbath Bloody Sabbath
Electric Funeral
Children of the Grave
Tomorrows Dream
Black Sabbath

If I had to say which was my most favorite...damn. It would either be Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Electric Funeral, or Children of the Grave. If you shot me if I didn't make THE choice? I don't know if I could. Those 3 are just SO the Sabbath of my heart, life, memory. But I guess in my mindset today it could be Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. If I could only have one CD to take with me forever to remember those years by, the above would be the songs I would burn onto it. I love all those songs so much :o)

I can't say just one. Children Of The Grave is very good, and so is Electric Funeral too. But I like them all. Like every band of artist, Black Sabbath and Ozzy in his own solo career have very good songs an not so good as well.

You're my reason to live
You are the heaven in my hell

Here for you
Ozzy Osbourne 2007

Virtually anything that he did, BUT anything off SABOTAGE would do me

Number 1

i never thought i would ever see ozzy without sabbath. or know sabbath without ozzy. to me that was as shocking as the death of princess diana. it just was THAT amazingly unreal. like, as in, NO WAY. impossible.

a very very sad day indeed.

and seeing dio with them just didn't work. where was the pazzah? the voice that made you shiver to hear it? the dimples to die for? the hair, the outfits, the bad@ss sexy man?

where was the love flowing from the man to Sabbath's fans?

:o( it makes me sad even to remember how it felt in those days. yes indeed.

Hard choice but I'd say : War pigs, Paranoid, Iron man, Children of the grave, NIB and Spiral architect....

For me? Hands down, "Children of the Grave."

Revolution in their minds - the children start to march
Against the world in which they have to live
And all the hate thats in their hearts
Theyre tired of being pushed around
And told just what to do
Theyll fight the world until theyve won
And love comes flowing through

Children of tomorrow live in the tears that fall today
Will the sun rise up tomorrow bringing peace in any way?
Must the world live in the shadow of atomic fear?
Can they win the fight for peace or will they disappear?

So you children of the world,
Listen to what I say
If you want a better place to live in
Spread the words today
Show the world that love is still alive
You must be brave
Or you children of today are
Children of the grave, yeah!

The sexiest man alive ~ Who WOULDN'T Love you Ozzy :-)

I can't seem to see you baby ... although my eyes are open wide ... but I know I'll see you once more ... when I see you, I'll see you on the other side

War Pigs - I believe iz prophetic - they woulkdn't play it in March of 2003 - on a local radio station when i called in and requested it - at tha start of tha second War with Iraq. Tha dj hung up on me - so evedentally it was a no-no and tha start of censorship - cuz it waz off their "play list".
I met ozzy in March of 1984, back stage at a concert that I won a writing contest to get on stage with him when I waz 14. I waz speechless - something very unusual 4 me!
google me!

am i going insane and paranoid-it sort of suites me

War Pigs

Difficult to choose......but still.....Black Sabbath, War pigs, The Writ and of course Children of the Grave......

<strong>OZZY THE LEGENDARY</strong>

Oh... i can't pick One! =/

War Pigs
and Hard Road...Are the best For my though.
IThey say I worship the devil
They must be stupid or blind
I just listen to Ozzy !

all ozzy songs is f***ing crazy

For me, the order depends on the mood, but my favourites are:
Black Sabbath, NIB,Megalomania, Paranoid, Am I going insane, Gypsy

OZZY, you supermannn!!!!!
If you box <a href="">Ta</a><a href="">go</a><a href="">en</a><a href="">co</a><a href="">li</a><a href="">pa</a><a href="">no</a><a href="">ze</a><a href="">les</a>

I also must add, since I never put it in my original post, that the songs "Snowblind" and "Changes" from Vol. 4 are songs I can listen to forever and ever. Same thing with any song from the album "Paranoid"

"Iron Man" sticks with me because my brother used to play it in the dark and scare the hell out of me when I was three (back in '73), I still get chills when I hear it. In addition I will say that "Planet Caravan" and "Sweet Leaf" are two of my favorites.

paranoid is the s***! then sabbath bloody sabbath, black sabbath, last war pigs!

keep it real, hard, and heavy as hell
Bleed Black Label Society

I have a funny story for ya all, well kind of funny anyway.

I am not sure if I have ever mentioned it before here at the forum, but my younger brother Mark is a little slow, minimally retarded is the term the doctors used. Anyway on with the story, if any of you have ever dealt with someone that is special, well then you know full well how fixated they can become when they fall in love with something. For example I had bought Paranoid and because I played it almost night and day for several weeks it only made since that my brother Mark would obviously tune into it, now for the comical part of it all.

The one track that he zeroed in on was electric funeral, I swear I woke up everyday for 2 or 3 years with <cite>"Reflex in the sky, Warn you you're gonna die, Storm coming, you better hide, From the atomic tide"</cite> jamming in the adjoining room. I swear if it had been any other band other than black sabbath that he had been playing at that hour of the morning I would have completely destroyed him!

So with that said I dedicate "Eectric Funeral" as Marks favorite Ozzy Sabbath song of all time!

But when one plays sabbath, all is forgiven, or at least until the following morning it would seem!

Never Say Die, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, & Hole In The Sky

Tony Iommi = God, his arch angels are Ozzy Osbourne, Dave Walker, Ronnie James Dio, Ian Gillan, Dave Donato, Glenn Hughes, Ray Gillen, Tony Martin, and Bill Ward (bassically everyone who sang on a song labeled Black Sabbath)

One of the best was 'Hard Road' . . . Love that song :)

I can't really pick ONE song.. i really like Sabbath Bloody Sabbath... Under The Sun/Every Day Just Comes and Goes, National Acrobat...etc... Vol.4, Sab Bloody Sab (album)

every f****n song by OZZZZZZZZ IZZZZZZZ kick *SS

There are so many Sabbath songs that I adore, but perhaps the most loved for me is "Fairies Wear Boots." I think if I were to hallucinate magical little people, they'd be the boot-wearing-sort, too. :)

For me it's probably something off Sabbath Bloody Sabbath or Sabotage, vocally I think Ozzy was at his best on these albums. A personal favourite of mine is Symptom of the Universe.
No Rest For The Wicked

The warning

The actual song "Black Sabbath", & "N.I.B" are the two that I never grow tired of hearing, with War Pigs coming in third, and the "Wizard is another one I will always love.

Awwww Christ on a crutch I love em all!
