Who plays the Harmonica on the track 'Black Rain'?
How did you join in 1969?!
Forgot to log in before the last post.
I thiink its Zakk, doesn't say on the credits though so its anyone's guess. I don't think Ozzy picks up the harp anymore. He really only did it on The Wizard.
Tony Iommi = God, his arch angels are Ozzy Osbourne, Dave Walker, Ronnie James Dio, Ian Gillan, Dave Donato, Glenn Hughes, Ray Gillen, Tony Martin, and Bill Ward (bassically everyone who sang on a song labeled Black Sabbath)
Yeah, but I have a bootleg concert of Sabbath in Prague in like 2005 and he plays it on The Wizard so I'm thinking it might be Ozz...
nah, but The Wizard is the ONLY song he ever did harmonica with, and it sound in more of the southern acompaning guitar style Zakk has.
i think it is a didgeridoo, because above the lyrics for the song Black Rain, it says... "contains an excerpt from "Forwardinoutback Didgeridoo Sample CD" as performed by Ralph "Stick" Hermann."
so i think its that ^^
There is a didgeridoo but they don't produce the same sound as a harmonica. The didgeridoo is the really bass like sound.
Ozzy does play the harmonica on Black Rain.
Album credits are:
* Ozzy Osbourne - Vocals, harmonica
* Zakk Wylde - Guitar, keyboards, backup vocals
* Rob "Blasko" Nicholson - Bass
* Mike Bordin - Drums
* Kevin Churko - Producer, Engineer, Mixer
* Zack Fagan - Additional Engineering
* Joshua Marc Levy - Art Direction and New Logo Design
Where did you get those from?
These are from Wikipedia but they are the same as on my album I bought over here with full cover artwork.
You checked your album? Cause anyone numnut could simply assume that its Ozzy and post that on Wiki.
Wiki has the potential of being the greatest source ever, but however as Ozzyjohn has said, it has many flaws that need worked out, so in other words you cant believe everything you read, as we all should agree....
"Being sober on a bus is, like, totally different than being drunk on a bus." - Ozzy Osbourne
remember half of what read and all that you see!
keep it real, hard, and heavy as hell
Bleed Black Label Society
It's Ozzy. He said so in Guitar World, the issue with Jack White on the cover.
OK, checked my record again and it doesn't say Ozzy is on harmonica. I apologize for giving the wrong information.
So I'm left with the wikipedia information and some record reviews which are probably not a good source.
Like the guy from India I think I've read it in some magazine as well but I don't owe the issue of Guitar World he mentioned and I can't find anymore where I got it from.
