Of course he's not gonna sound like he did on Sabotage or Blizzard but maybe give us the Ozzy of NMT or Ozzmosis. Vocal lessons aren't going to make him sound like a pop star. Vocal coaches have nothing to do with pop music. What vocal coaches do is train and strengthen the throat and its muscles. Its just like his personal fitness trainers. With age muscles deteriorate and with the smoking he has done is throat has been damaged. When Ozzy quit smoking there was a noticable change in the quality of his vocals. When people get very very old they have trouble swallowing because their throat is weak, therapists do the same thing to help strengthen the muscles.
Weird? Yeah improving his vocal ability is gonna look weird but stumbling around on TV picking up dog s*** is normal?!?!
IMO a vocal coach for better vocals is no different to Ozzy's personal trainers keeping him in shape so he can run around on stage.
