Not liking Poison:
I am sorry to bum you out, but when poison entered the scene back then I was listening to Megadeth’s peace sells, not poison. Well to be completely honest I listened to it, but not by choice I may add, it was around the house due to my wife and her silly ass girlfriends, lets just say I never bought it, nor did I ever really dig them at all, I deemed them to be a chick thing in the end… Although I will say this, poison were a notch above faster pussycat, but to me that’s not saying a whole lot if you know what I mean?

GNR:

As for GNR, I remember reading a record review in hit parader on appetite way before the album was even released, since heavy music was at an all time low I figured at least these guys looked a little more like real men, they wore leather, and had some attitude, so on that as well as the review I went out and bought the album the day it was released. It turned out to be a great album for the time, I loved appetite for destruction, I remember playing it for my wife and her friends, telling them they would be the biggest thing since sliced bread, only to be laughed at like I was some kind of village idiot, it pissed me off to say the least.

Anyway I went on listening, and it wasn’t until months later when the video, and the taped concert was aired on MTV, then suddenly everybody was like oh wow, these guys rock, and this included my wife and her goofy girlfriends of course. Now what’s ironic here is it was that same taped concert of MTV’s that killed my admiration of these guys, Axl looked, and sounded like s***, plus he acted like a a**hole on stage, so it wasn’t much later down the road he proved me to be anything but wrong in my assumptions of him, I need not explain all that I am sure considering his history an all.

So it was all down hill from there for me, I wrote them off as another band that was at the right place at the right time, kind of like Nirvana, but again to each his own I guess.

Slash:

I do however like slash as a person, he seems to be a pretty good guy, I don’t get him keeping the gay leather look and top hat, but again whatever floats your boat I guess? His new stuff with velvet revolver is not too shabby, I always knew he didn’t need Axl Rose around in order to be successful. Anyway I am no huge fan of GNR, but I could think of worse bands for someone to choose liking, such as Faster Pussycat, man that name just kills me, lmfao!

My thoughts on Bret:

As for Bret he has always made me about half sick to my stomach, he looks like a badly dressed transsexual, and his singing is anything but great, its mediocre at best, again though that’s just my feelings on it all, some will differ I am sure, as will yours I am assured of, lmfao!

My all time fav band:

That’s easy, Black Sabbath is my all time favorite group, after that then it would be Slayer, or Pantera, its hard to pick a fav when you have to naturally compare them to the almighty Black Sabbath, that’s a hard act to follow if you know what I mean, lol!
