Ozzy's Biographical Movie???

Anybody heard anything new about the biographical about Ozzy in the works????? Last I heard, Johnny Depp and Collin Ferrell were being considered to play Ozzy, and Jack Black was trying to convince Sharon on her talk show to let him play Ozzy.....personally I can see all three of them portraying Ozzy at different times in his career, but I think overall the best candidate who would have better lucky portraying John Michael Osbourne throughout his life would be Collin Ferrell, and personally I like Depp better but I think Ferrell could pull off Ozzy a little better. I can't picture Johnny doing anything even close to an Ozzy voice. Atleast all Ferrell has to do is work on turning his irish accent to a burmingham accent......

anyone heard anything new????? who do u think would make a better Ozzy????

Here is an update on this: <a href="http://guestlist.radio.com/2010/08/09/interview-five-things-ozzy-osbourne-wants-you-to-know-about-him/">http://guestlist.radio.com/2010/08/09/interview-five-things-ozzy-osbourne-wants-you-to-know-about-him/</a>

I am sure that since Ozzy has stated that he'd really prefer someone from England to play him, since he's not from the US, that might be the thing he is doing now, scouting out unknowns from his country.

I can play the part!! Vote for me! Shooter Osbourne

I Belive as an unknown West Midlands Actor who I have been told by a number of people I look very much like Ozzy, I should be considered for the role of the main man. I spent a time some years ago performing with a sabs and Ozzy tribute band. As for the spoken voice I have even been told by some Im almost a sound a like although in my own opinion I have not exactly got an Aston Accent but sound like some one from a area about 5 miles from where Ozzy was born but I could develop the accent so I sound closer to Ozzy my singing voice is almost exactly like ozzys for most of his material. I Do remember some one in a rehersal room coming banging on the door of our practise room thinking Ozzy was there the funny thing is Tony Iommis new Sabbeth line up were practiceing next door. Iommi complained at our Guitarist saying he was too load. I would also be very cheep and would work for about £500 per week with a percentage of profits or maybe even work on a profit share basis

Johnny Depp! I Think he is one of the best actors of our time. Pirates of caribbean rules all!!

OZZY - The King of Rock!

The thread "<a href="http://www.ozzy.com/forum/black-sabbath-the-movie">Black Sabbath - the movie</a>" has a discussion on this same topic...

I can't seem to see you baby ... although my eyes are open wide ... but I know I'll see you once more ... when I see you, I'll see you on the other side

I think Rosie O'Donnell could pull it off best - she was spawn in hell.

I belive the actor of choice should be Gary Oldman....if you need to be pursuaded, watch the movie "Sid and Nancy".....Oldman not only is a great actor who, with proper makeup and preparation, would make a great Ozzy, but he also can portray a wild and crazy side, as seen in "Sid and Nancy". Collin Farrell is a horrible choice, Johnny Depp would be ok, but not great, and Gary Oldman would be about the best match overall. But if a movie ever does come out, in the end, the actor won't really be a deciding factor of whether or not I'll go see it, but it will definetly have some weight on whether I'll enjoy it and buy it.

I would really hate this. I hope Ozzy can put his foot down if $haron tries to do this.

Black Sabbath is the #1 Metal band, they started it with the Holy Trinity with the band name, album, and song Black Sabbath. And there hasn't been anything with the name Black Sabbath that has disappointed me. Tony Iommi = God, his arch angels are Ozzy Os

id actually love to see a movie made......i think at this point there are the old ppl who still see Ozzy as a bat biting, satanic, drug addict, those who see Ozzy as the drugged up, confused bafoon they portrayed him as on The Osbournes, and then there is us, true fans.....I believe everyone needs to see that there is more to Ozzy than the old stories we have all heard(some true some ridiculously false) and what we've seen on Mtv......Ozzy is a real person who has lead a real life with ups and downs. That he grew up a poor boy in Birmingham and against all odds grew up to be a great heavy metal star!!! His story, his REAL STORY needs to be told!

I'm fine with an E-true hollywood story and This Is Your Life thing but a movie would be an ultimate sellout. Hell not even KISS, to my knowledge anyway, has done a biographical movie, hehe. There is no way I would want Ozzy to out sellout KISS, talk about destroying a legacy...

Tony Iommi = God, his arch angels are Ozzy Osbourne, Dave Walker, Ronnie James Dio, Ian Gillan, Dave Donato, Glenn Hughes, Ray Gillen, Tony Martin, and Bill Ward (bassically everyone who sang on a song labeled Black Sabbath)

i personally just dont see that as selling out, like doing a made for tv movie with horrible actors and language sesoring would be selling out in my opinion, but a movie if done right with the right ppl i think could be pulled off

I agree with tinkertrain. I think with the right actors and done with some class and accurate stories, it would make a great movie.

I wouldn't see it unless they left out the stories we've hear a trillion and one times like the bat, the doves, the ants, the Alamo, ect.

i think if they make a movie things like the bat and dove are guaranteed to be in it...im not sure about the alamo or ants thing though...but i know the ants thing will be in the Motley Crue movie w Christopher Walken playing Ozzy.

I think the things id really like to see covered in the movie would be his early years living in poverty, his rise to fame w Sabbath, the time he spent after Sabbath, when Sharon found him and got him sober(er), the suicide solution stuff, when he attempted to kill sharon....and id really like to see his time with his first wife(Thelma) covered...his life w his first family...those are the things that id be most curious about in the movie

I dont care what "sells out" in the theaters or not, I'd love to go see it, and hopefully it'll have some lesser-known more private facts about himself and his family, as much as he's willing to give. I'd support a project like that, why not? I'm curious....
