"Scream" is a great album. I enjoy every song on the CD, and, of all of the songs, all but two are in my all-time favorites. It starts off strong with "Let It Die," and ends on a sweet and powerful note with "I Love You All." Honestly, the first time I listened to the CD, I got a little teary-eyed and said, "I love you too, man."
Great emotion throughout the whole album. "Fearless" is especially strong, and full of a powerful and positive message. "Let It Die" and "Let Me Hear You Scream" are both a ton of fun. I hope that Ozzy and the band had as much fun making the album as it sounds like they did! And, on a more serious note, "Life Won't Wait" is not only powerful musically (GREAT bassline, for example), but the message is crystal clear, and, honestly, has comforted me through some recent hard incidents.
The whole album is great, and I think I speak for many fans when I say to Ozzy, "Thank you for giving us such a treasure." Honestly, "Scream" was my first Ozzy album, and, as of today, I own several Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne CDs. He's just that darn good.
So, yes, in numeric form, I'd give this album an 8 out of 10 stars, with the stipulation that I have no idea what a 10-star album would sound like!
