Sharon on Americas got talent

I know Sharon is not Ozzy...
But..I've been a fan of Ozzy since I was ten (I'm 37 now). I have bought every product (cd's videos t shirts, etc). I have incredible respect for Sharon. I am a gay man.
I'm saddend by her approving a "priest" throwing knives tonight on America's got talent.
While Sharon should judge on "talent" if someone is marketing they are a Christian, I feel it is their responsibility to say that they are disgusted with their church's disregard of human rights in their anti gay stance. It is not a moral stance, and if they believe in god, they should believe god loves all of his creations.
I know this is really pickey, but, Sharon, please be careful praising any "priests" that disregard basic human rights for everyone (especially Ozzy's fans!!! lol)
Love you guys!
Derek

Well it looks like no body else will touch this post, maybe considering its mention of the word gay, or homosexual? I hope this not to be the case but it appears it may be.

Whatever the reason may actually be, all I can say is I am by no means a gay basher, nor am I a card-carrying member of the rainbow league. I am married, kids, and all that heterosexual mumbo jumbo. I have a family member who is openly gay, as well as a few close friends. So it is by these few credentials I will dare to say the following.

I personally think you are reading way too much into Sharon’s putting this knife-wielding priest through on Americas most talented. I am almost a 100% certain that Sharon didn’t even think of gay rights, animal rights, inanimate furniture rights, ect ect. She just judged whether this guy put on a good show or not, as for Sharon condoning someone else’s political correctness or not, well its totally irrelevant considering that’s not her job to do in the first place. Her job is only to pass along as many of these poor slobs as possible, thus giving them a little false hope that their life’s dream may actually come true, no less, & no more is expected of her presence on that tv show, so I say enough said about all that.

I think maybe you are just guilty of being a little over sensitive, & that you may want to just reevaluate your analogy of Sharon’s decision on Americas most talented, but then again who am I to say for sure or not, I am just another lesbian trapped within a mans body. LMAO!

Peace & good luck!

A show like that is no place for a battleground on a social issue. Things like that belong in the street in rallies, or at political discussions and debates. It would almost be stupid for a contestant to do that actually. I don't watch the show but as it is from the same people as American Idol I assume the contestants require vote to win at the later stages. No? Making a point of saying that could potentially lose him votes. And as you say it should be based on talent, some people are too ignorant to be able to look past a statement like that.
