First I have to say that I had a great night. It was so much fun. Thank you BLS and Ozzy.
BLS sound was bad. Although I was in the front where the sound isn’t good, anyway it sounded all muddy and Zakk’s singing and guitar sort of vanished in the muddy mixing. Zakk was great though. The crowd went totally insane and I had to step backwards after a while. Zakk looked tired at this evening. I think he should take a decent break and spend sometime off the road and maybe reduce the amount of beer. Compared to 2 years ago, when I saw him on the Sabbath tour I wasn’t that much impressed this year. Mixing was much better then.
Ozzy owned the crowd before he even was on stage. Then he first apologized for his voice not being good and asked if we want to follow him anyway. During the set his voice was quite good. Not as good two years ago with Sabbath, I think I catched a perfect night then, but good. Setlist was the same as posted a few times and included No More Tears. He asked if we want to hear it and it was well received. His voice cracked several times during the song but I didn’t care. I was just happy he did it. The crowd went totally insane and Ozzy seemed to really enjoy the show as it went on. He looked great and smiled all the time. The sound was much better than with BLS but in the front still a bit muddy. So I can’t tell a lot about bass drums and piano. But if I go to a show of these guys I want to have fun. If I want to listen to perfectly mixed music, I listen to the records. To the end of the show Ozzy dumped a security guy with water. Allways funny when they loose their attention and he suprises one of them.
