guitar hero 3

just watched a vid on ign.com about gh 3. the boss battle with SLASH and the guy said at the very end that there would be more boss battles. i think ZAKK should be one since he let FIRE IT UP on the gh one and he was behind it from the start. so what guitar gods should you battle(living or dead)?

I have to agree with OjZoZhYn that when he quoted Ozzy as saying music is like one big wheel, what comes around goes around, well folks that pretty much sums this whole topic up in a nut shell, or so I think.

I unfortunately did live through the disco movement, as well as the big hair metal thing of the 80's, & even though there seems to be no real hope, or signs of a new movement, or retaliation due the current stagnant shape of today’s music scene, rest assured there will be. I stock faith in the fact that the pendulum will swing full force the other way & we will get a resurgence of new great music, not just metal in general, but all jondra’s of music shall inhale a breath of fresh air I suspect. I agree that emo is pretty weak, & has all the obvious ingredients for being nothing more than pop music, but like all things that lack originality it will be forgotten, & it will eventually be over shadowed by the new bands that come along offering something of real merit, called “musical integrity”!!!!!!!!!

For some music lovers like myself it won’t get here fast enough, but like all great things in life there seems to always be that undeniable wait!

Anyone other than myself up to the task of moving the clock forward? lol

Peace

That would be sweet outlaw, sweet!

One of my all time fav tunes, & it is amazing that its a Bob Dylan song, & for the record I was also aware of that little Jimi fact. I never have been a great fan of Bob Dylan's, but the boy can write some great tunes, just his singing is way to far out for me, some of his stuff that he performs is ok, but I would rather hear someone else do his covers/songs.. lol But thats just me guys, you may like him??? :)

There should be a Heavy Metal expansion pack featuring the likes of Pantera, Sabbath, Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Priest, Maiden, ect. I'd love to see the likes of NIB or The Ripper or Holy Diver.

You like Bob huh, that surprises me a little, but I guess that is mostly due to your age bro. Most youngins wont give old school much of a chance, but I suppose I should have figured you were a little different than most of your peers since your such a Sabbath fan.

Anyway I am cool with ole Bob-O, just his vocals have always kind of threw me off, but on the flip side I admire his creativity, & his lyrics rule! As for strange vocal styles, or artists, I just have always preferred Neil Young as to liking Bob's vocal style, even though I have to say they are not all that much alike when compared side to side, but they both have always had their own kind of thing going for them, they walk a walk all their own....

Guitar Players Rule

was going to get it on the wii but not now check this out
Additionally there are console exclusive hidden characters. The first two mentioned will appear in the Wii and PlayStation 2 versions, while the two others will appear in the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions,
Metalhead - A robot guitarist that was built from scrap parts from a Russian self-guided warhead
Elroy Budvis - A character who is extremely reminiscent of a bulkier version of rock and roll legend Elvis Presley
the God of Rock - A guitarist that is very reminiscent of ancient Greek gods, principally Zeus
Grim Ripper, the rock modification of the Grim Reaper, returning from the two first Guitar Hero games.
i hope my PS3 can handle all of this rockin out! and WTF w/ MetallicA s ONE being the very last song?

LMFAO @ the St. anger thing! That was great!

I have to say I to agree with you 100%, I would rather have St, Anger on repeat for all eternity than to have to endure any of that emo crap for a single second! But hey I can't throw to many stones at her; we all have to grow up sometime.

I bet if we are all real honest with ourselves here we can all admit that we have bought some cd's were not real proud of, one of mine would be Dio holy diver lol at OjZoZhYn’s future response, jk bro!

The thing is that music provokes a lot of emotions in people, we all get our own thing out of it personally, that is why so many of us discuss it so passionately here within the forum.

If Twiggy gets something out of it all good for her, I'll just be kind and leave it at this, emo is not my cup of tea, nor will it ever be. There is an old ass song from Sacred Reich that I just loved called 31 flavors, it basically describes this very thing.

However in defense of some of the guy’s posts here on this emo topic, I have to say Twiggy you are kind of in the wrong forum to be soliciting emo fans, I fear that it is safe for me to say most Ozzy fans do not enjoy emo, if you want that kind of comradely you may want to try an emo bands forum instead, just some friendly advise girlfriend, no insult intended.

Peace all!

--
<cite>"Being sober on a bus is, like, totally different than being drunk on a bus."</cite> - <strong>Ozzy Osbourne</strong>

Hey Twiggy there was a whole lot of people that also once wore disco forever t-shirts, but where are they now? In comparison to the guys like Sabbath, & Metallica, what is so pioneering about emo hon, why should I be a fan of this music? I am serious, I want to understand??

This is the thing that concerns me, why is it so important for you to get validation from all of us, Twiggy you sometimes come off like a goofy ass drug addict, wanting all of our approval so it will condone your listening to this emo crap, why is it so important for those of us here at the forum to give you our approval???? I fail to get this?????

My advise Twiggy is walk your own walk, who knows maybe you are right and we here are all wrong, but lets let time tell us that truth or not, ok???? I understand that sometimes you may seem like an outsider, I know I did all those years ago when I was listening to Slayer, & Metallica, but I adhered to my convictions that this music was more than just another rock & roll thing, & in time I was vindicated, do you see my point? Just be your own person, & don't be so consumed by what others think, because sometimes people they can be dead wrong.

I think your very nice an all, but I have to have outlawtorn's back on this, you need to really try and refrain from not shoving this emo thing up everyones noses, especially a thread that has nothing to do with it, it would be like me insisting on talking about mopar cars constantly within your emo thread, it has no place, or real merit. Just remember you have to exercise giving respect long before you can ever be fortunate enough to acquire it from others, just a friendly suggestion hon.. Think on it??????????????

Peace

<cite>"Being sober on a bus is, like, totally different than being drunk on a bus."</cite> - <strong>Ozzy Osbourne</strong>

I always like playing his song Lay Lady Lay to people who tend to dislike his vocal style. You should check out a preview if you can find it on ITunes or something, definatley the album version, not live he does weird things live. It is a COMPLETLEY different voice. He changes practically on every album, some changes are more subtle but they are there. Lay Lady Lay is indeed a rare gem among the album (Nashville Skyline btw) only thing comparable to that that I've heard is a cover of Blue Moon he did on a very very very very stange album that he did called Self Portrait.

But see if you can find the studio version of Lay Lady Lay and give it a listen.

Dear OzzHeads,

You are forgetting Warren Haynes. He is a shredder and his band is Gov't Mule, along playing with The Dead, The Allmann Brothers Band, and Phil Lesh and Friends. I have to give props to a guy who calls his band a fellow equine.

Love,

Barbaro
