My Reviews & Blog
I have to be honest here. I haven't listened to this album as much as my other great Ozzy albums. However, I absolutely LOVE the songs "Never Know Why" and "Shot in the Dark", especially the live versions you will find on the Ozzy box set "Prince of Darkness". "Never Know Why" sounds TEN times better on the box set. The rest of the album is probably better than I give it credit for, I just haven't spent as much time listening to it. Even Ozzy himself has said this was his least favorite album or his least favorite tour. So there you have it. The worst review you will get from me of any Ozzy album. Sorry Ozz. You know I love you man.
Who can we get on the case?
Why didn't this album get more radio play? I was listening to rock radio nonstop in '95 and I don't remember hearing alot of the really good songs that are on this album. This album is just as good as No More Tears, and that is high praise. No More Tears was all over the radio all through the 90's. What happened to this kick ass hard rockin' album? Was everybody still trippin on Nirvana or what? Anyways, If you've never listened to this album, it may take a couple times but it will grow on you like a beard on a wizard. Try it.
Sounds great time after time
This album is just incredible! Maybe my favorite Ozzy album, although I love them all and I don't have a favorite. I was 14 when this came out, and I'm now 32 and it sounds as great as it ever did. I never grow tired of it. "I Don't Want to Change the World" is one of my favorite songs period. And the next 6 songs on this album are absolutely top notch. Plus "Road to Nowhere". That song blows me away. No Ozzy fan should be without this album. It was a classic as soon as it hit the airwaves.
Listen in Awe
This is one of the best Ozzy albums. Don't let anyone tell you different. It's straight forward hard rockin' at it's best. This one has some my favorite lyrics too. Just listen to "Bark at the Moon", "Rock and Roll Rebel", "Waiting for Darkness", and let's not forget that creepy cool song "Spiders" that the stupid record company wouldn't put on the album. If you haven't heard "Spiders" it is on the Ozzy box set "Prince of Darkness". If you don't have "Bark at the Moon" go get it right now.
I don't have a favorite Ozzy album, but this is definitely one of the best. If you don't have it, GO GET IT! What's wrong with you man? "Crazy Train" has some of the best lyrics and guitar of any rock song ever. Randy Rhoads is a god. "Suicide Solution" is classic Ozzy. "Mr. Crowley" is one of Ozzy's coolest songs. You know what. Nevermind. This WHOLE f***ING ALBUM ROCKS!

Can you hear them?
If you're sayin this ain't a kick ass album, then no, I can't hear ya. I got it cranked too loud. I saw Ozzy on tour after this one came out. The Merry Mayhem tour I think it was. With Rob Zombie. Kick ass show! I absolutely love nearly every song on this album. You wanna know the best ones? Look at the track list above. Down to Earth rocks hard all the way through and the lyrics are really f***ing awesome. That's all I have to say.
