I'm a fan (and you should be too) because...It's really hard to put it all into words as to why I'm such a HUGE Ozzy fan, but, I'll try!!
My obsession with Ozzy started I guess in middle school. A really good friend of mine turned me on to Ozzy and I never looked back. I've been to all his concerts when he was in the area, I even cried at his farewell tour!! Thank-God "RETIREMENT SUCKS"!!! I love driving around jamming to Ozzy, if I'm in a bad mood I just pop in an Ozzy CD and everything goes away!
When I was pregnant with my son (he's 17 now) thats all I listened too. And, when he was born thats all he ever heard. When he learned to talk and an Ozzy song would come on the radio, within in the first note or two, I'd say who's that Josh, and in a devilish voice he'd say "OZZZZY!"
I remember one year we were even jamming to Ozzy while decorating our Christmas tree, ya I know most people listen to Christmas Carols, but, not us!!
it was always cool to sit back and listen to OZZY while tripping, the words to his songs just seem to fit...ya know...."Flyin' High Again".
When I was in high school, I had an English class and for our final paper we had to think of a subject that no one else had written about in past class and make a book report. We had to take our picks to the teacher and he'd approve them after making sure no one else had wrote on the subject before. I choose Ozzy. And, the teacher told me, I don't think you can do it, but, I'll let you try, it's your final grade so choose wisely. Well, needless to say, I think I blew the socks off the teacher, I got an A+ on my report, and long after I graduated, the teacher had a copy of my report and should it to future class. he basically told me he had to eat his own words, and he used my report as an example that if your passionate about something you can do it no matter who says you can't. So, my report "Is the Madman for real....." lives on! I think Ozzy has seen his share of people saying you can't do this or that but, he lives on for the fans! I get so sick of people who don't like Ozzy saying he needs to give it up....why should he? He's still awesome, hell just look at his lastest album, I think that speaks for itself! Black Sabbath made a FATAL error when they kicked Ozzy out! Oh well their lose, our major gain! The rock world would have never been the same without Ozzy!!! OZZY YOU ROCK!!!!
