I have to be honest here. I haven't listened to this album as much as my other great Ozzy albums. However, I absolutely LOVE the songs "Never Know Why" and "Shot in the Dark", especially the live versions you will find on the Ozzy box set "Prince of Darkness". "Never Know Why" sounds TEN times better on the box set. The rest of the album is probably better than I give it credit for, I just haven't spent as much time listening to it. Even Ozzy himself has said this was his least favorite album or his least favorite tour. So there you have it. The worst review you will get from me of any Ozzy album. Sorry Ozz. You know I love you man.
This Cd is average. There are a couple of somewhat exciting songs, but other than that, the Cd is almost poor (forgive me Ozzy!).

To me, this Work of the ozz is the hightlight of his unholyness solo carrer.
This was the first Ozzy opus i ever got my hands on and the uniqe riffs, great songwriting and production and atmosphere makes this one (to me) the masterpiece.
I've been rock to ozzy for many mooons and when my dad beat the s*** out me and kick me down,OZZY! was the only man to pick me back up.your a father i never had love ya mad man!
keep rocken !!!!!!!!!!!
ozzy is the best metal artist in the world ,he is wild and thats what I like about him the ultimate sin is one of the best of Ozzy's albums s*** i can rock out to this f***in CD all day . if Ozzy is not your Favorite artist f*** you and yuor family stupid Bicth ass f***er . one day I want to meet you ozzy f*** ya!!!!!! From your number one fan Brandon Gonzales
I am not a huge fan of ozzy, mostly just Blizzard of ozz... but The Ultimate sin is without a doubt my favorite ozzy album ever (this does include his sabbath stuff). I think it should get more support because i see it as much of a classic as i do Blizzard of ozz. Ultimate sin and shot in the dark are amazing songs!
"Killer of Giants" KICKS ASS!!!!!!! That # should have made it on Just Say Ozzy, Live & Loud or recorded at the Budokan show, however it did make the Wicked tour, the Ozz has to take it easy though like to see him stick around and do some s*** in the studio as apposed to the harm he goes through to please f***s like those who say this album is s*** f*** that!!!!! Ozzy saved us all durring the 80's when rock really was going to s*** with the likes of Madonna and Cindy Loper
I know what I'm saying, and anyone who knows a little bit about music will agree.... This is the BEST Ozzy album ever... I can't understand why people talk about the "bad" production.... The sound is marvelous... The lyrics simple but fantastic... Please, do open your ears wider, just for a while, and take a trip to an absolute masterpiece... Much better than the so-called "classics" Bark at the moon or Diary...

I remember this year very well, High School Daze and the concert @ Veteran's Memorial Collosium (Phoenix) back in 1986 and Metallica opened up for Ozzy...! Man, that was a b****'in concert and everyone was cool, passing joints around, chugging beers before the show, and just plain Headbang'n...awesome!!!! Thank you Ozzy!
Really kewl to read all the memories associated with this album. I too was learning about Ozzy and the problems of the world and this album helped me understand that people felt the same way I did. Great songs.........." Killer of Giant's "..... touched me, "Thank God For The Bomb"..... educated me and "Shot In The Dark"......... will always make me think of high school and the great times with my friends.....Love you Ozz-man. R.J.
This is the best ozzy album all time, nine f***ing cool songs, a great backing band and a cool cover artwork. This album rocks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love this album very much (as I love the others). I didn't understand why Ozzy deleted it. Oz, if you read this, under my advice, re-make the album the way "YOU" wanted it to sound! Anyway, my favorite songs are "The Ultimate Sin", "Thank God For The Bomb", "Killer Of Giants", and of course, "Shot In The Dark".
I love this album, man! '86 was a killer year in music....Reign in Blood, Master of Puppets, Orgasmatron and the Ultimate Sin! I think a lot of people bash this album just because of the whole "hair metal" scene of the 80's, and they put this album in that category just because Ozzy looked like an overweight drag queen ( ever see the video for Shot in The Dark?) But so what? He's Ozzy for christsake....he was there from the start man! he was singin' metal songs 18 years before The Ultimate Sin, so he can do whatever he damn well wants.
I don't understand why some people (Ozzy himself....they say!) don't appreciate this intriguing album!! For me it remains a very very good album, maybe not a masterpiece, maybe it doesn't have a wonderful production, but it still owns a special feeling. I'll always love it!

"Mother, please forgive them, because they don't know what they do!" (Ozzy Osbourne - Revelation Mother Earth)
I bought Ultimate Sin in early 1986 on cassette tape shortly before I turned 13. It was the first time I'd ever heard his music and I must have played that tape a more than a thousand times over the years. I know a lot of people bash it, but perhaps I like it because it was my first introduction to his music. I'm now 34 and still a fan. I bought "Black Rain" on Tuesday when Circuit City opened at 10 AM, eager to get my hands on it.
