Below is my official press statement on the official Black Sabbath trademark lawsuit. I am very saddened that I’ve had to take legal action against Tony. This is something that I’ve tried to avoid for years. I am not Geezer or Bill’s voice. However, till the day I die I will not change my mind on this issue. The Black Sabbath trademark should be equally owned by Geezer, Bill, Tony and I as the true Black Sabbath lineup is Tony, Geezer, Bill and I. We’ve all been mates since school. I’ve always said there is an invisible thread that holds us together. Tony, lets get this ridiculous issue sorted and move on with our lives. You’re 61, I’m 60. I hope that we’ve got a good 20 years left in us. But if not, God Forbid something happens to you.

WRECKAGE OF MY PAST is an intimate documentary that delves deep into the life of music icon Ozzy Osbourne. A sober Ozzy has reached a point of clarity as he looks back on a lifetime of unparalleled success, misdiagnosed disease, unrelenting fear and a recurring dependency on drugs and alcohol. This is a film about reconciling the past and looking toward the future.

America’s first-ever hard rock and heavy metal music award show—the first annual EPIPHONE REVOLVER GOLDEN GODS AWARDS, presented by the Honda Fury—will take place Tuesday, April 7 at Club Nokia in downtown Los Angeles and be broadcast on MTV2 as a one-hour special debuting Saturday, May 2. Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne will be honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the event, presented by America’s leading heavy music magazine REVOLVER.

OZZY OSBOURNE is currently in the studio in Los Angeles co-producing his 10th studio album with Kevin Churko. The new CD is the rock & roll legend’s follow-up to 2007’s Black Rain which debuted in the Top Ten on the album charts in 11 countries and spawned OZZY’s first ever #1 active rock track, “I Don’t Wanna Stop” (which also sat atop the Heritage Rock chart for more than 20 weeks). The two-time Grammy Award winner has decided that he will not be touring until he has a new album in-stores (currently projected to be Thanksgiving 2009). Thus, OZZY has decided to put his namesake festival OZZFEST on hold this year. In the meantime, if you need an OZZY fix you can watch him with Sharon, Kelly and Jack on the “first family of rock’s” return to television.

Ozzy Osbourne, solo artist and lead vocalist of heavy metal band Black Sabbath, won the award in honor of his long career, which has spanned four decades.

Past recipients of the accolade include Alice Cooper, Lemmy and Jimmy Page. Guitar legend Slash, the former Guns N' Roses guitarist, presented the award. He also received the Marshall "11" award "for his services to balls-out guns-blazing rock n' roll". Earlier, Osbourne and Slash enjoyed afternoon tea together at the Dorchester Hotel in London. The rock and roll stars showed their softer side as they shared tea and cakes ahead of the big night.
