Something’s coming over the mountain. You better take cover, Canada, because the Monsters of Rock are coming your way! Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne has drawn upon the sinister power of Ozzfest to create the biggest, meanest, loudest f**king rock festival you can imagine - THE MONSTERS OF ROCK. This one-day celebration of the heaviest music in the universe is landing exclusively in the Great White North at Calgary’s McMahon Stadium on Saturday July 26!

Ozzy Osbourne makes his long-awaited return to Calgary, doing what he loves best - making rock fans go f**king crazy! The Prince of Darkness will hit the stage with band mates Zakk Wylde, Michael Bordin, Blasko and Adam Wakeman to perform a blistering set of classics from his 38-year career as rock’s purveyor of heavy metal, including songs from his latest earth-shattering (and certified platinum) album, “Black Rain.”

Judas Priest are truly iconic figures in metal, having spent 30 years writing & recording classic tracks and performing spectacular live shows. The band have sold in excess of 30 million albums, and thrilled audiences around the world. The definitive line up of Rob Halford (vocals), Glenn Tipton (guitar), K.K Downing (guitar), Ian Hill (bass) and Scott Travis (drums), who reformed in July 2003, will release their new album, “Nostradamus,” this year.

Serj Tankian is best known as the soaring voice of Ozzfest veterans System of a Down, but he has successfully struck out on his own with a new sonic assault; Hatebreed have redefined hard rock as a uplifting force against the ills of the world; Cavalera Conspiracy is the latest project for Sepultura founders (and brothers) Max and Igor Cavalera; Shadows Fall always provide a bracing blast of extreme metal in their furious performances; Voivod will reunite for a rare live performance, which will include a tribute to the band’s original guitarist, the late Denis "Piggy" d'Amour.

Also included in this stunning, hard-hitting line-up are American metal warriors Testament, Canadian dragon-slaying heroes 3 Inches Of Blood, Montreal’s swaggering headbangers Priestess, and Vancouver’s metal jesters Zimmers Hole. (More bands TBA).

Great show in Calgary...hope you do it again!
We had VIP...I would have been closer if I had floor...oh well...I am not sorry, nor will I forget the experience.
I came for me and to honor my brother Dale who was murdered in Thailand this year...he was such a huge fan! Our Mom passed away a few years earlier...when I was in Bangkok, i went to a bar my brother had frequented and knew everyone. The first song that came on was "Winds of Change" then "Mama I'm Comin Home"...everyone in the place cried with me. Then you sang that song at the concert...I balled and waved my lame sign hoping you would see...haha. I did write on your facebook too! Never hurts to dream...I didn't hear that song? I love it.

Hi,
My brother Troy Paproski is a huge Ozzy fan and well-known here in the Calgary rock and motorcycle communities. But he got meningitis last year and went in a long coma. Red Dawg at Calgary radio station CJAY dedicated Ozzy songs to him and he has recovered his mind but is nw mostly paralyzed. His best memory is hanging with Ozzy at some bar in Toronto when in town for a concert.
His life is s*** and he may not necessarily have a long life. Any chance Ozzy can say hi to him again? Or does anyone know that the handicapped seats are behing big pillars at McMahon Stadium in the nose bleeds, and any chance we can get Troy closer, beside on or backstage? OMG Monsters of Rock is happening on the day of my birthday!!! what are the chances. so my parents bought me a ticket for the concert, as a birthday present. We live near Toronto, so we're flying out there for a week, jsut so that i can see my IDOL and GOD and FAVOURITE PERSON IN THE WORLD in concert!!
I've been an Ozzy fan for about 3 or 4 years now, and its because of him that i really got into music. Im turning 16. and before i listened to ozzy, i loved music, but only as much as the next guy. but after listening to his music, and buying EVERYSINGLE ozzy album: even the compilations, but not the rare one of a time ones, i still cant get my hands on those. and now i am a music freak, and want to be a music producer when i get older.
the only problem is i have an operation three days before the concert. so i have to stay home, far away from calgary. i have to miss seeing my IDOL and other amazing music geniouses, because of a fu***** operation. this would have been the first time seeing ozzy and priest and tankien live!!
hopefully he tours next year and comes to toronto.

sorry to miss this amazing concert.
